B. Caapi vs Syrian Rue "Toxicity" and Post-Use Side Effects Question

Hello Shroomerites,
This is a question that goes out to all the people who like to mix MAOI's with their mushies.
I have used syrian rue in combination with Psilocybe cyanescens and I found that the after effects were horribly undesirable. Being the first time I had ever tried this combination, I used 3 grams of rue and 1 gram of fruit bodies brewed into tea, multiple extractions. The trip was even pronouncedly "dreamier" and hazier, mellower, but felt so much warmer and secure than a usual mushroom experience. it was very nice. 5 hours after I dosed, I was still rising and rising in the trip, and that is when I fell asleep for the night. However, I noticed that I had a pretty murky and slow head for a couple weeks after the cominbination. Not a desirable trait by any means, as I do not want to be causing myself any harm when I explore.
I have read that rue can have this toxic effect to it. How does B. Caapi relate to rue? Does it have this same side effects or is it cleaner?
Cheers!

Never had a bad after effect from caapi.
On that same note I've never used rue. So, it's not an answer from personal comparison. Just personal experience with caapi bro.

I've tried rue twice, by itself, and have incurred toxic-feeling effects both times. The first trial was a very crude preparation and the second one was more refined; consequently, the first one felt horrible and the second one wasn't as bad (but still undesirable). What I don't understand is that I've seen several reports of people who say that they do tea without experiencing these side effects.

I'll have to check out tea, but if caapi has none of the toxic side affects, a couple of bucks isn't such a large price to pay for brain health in the long run.......
Anybody experience negative side effects from caapi?

I haven't used caapi but I found rue to be very healing. It made me feel good after doing it for days. Not in any sort of bad way either. Even when I makes me puke I'm good to go. I noticed the simplest way to diminish nausea is the tar. Also I would mention rue at least, the maoi effect does not incur tolerance, only the individual psychedelia of its own. I'm down with the rue.

That's encouraging. Did you do the Manske extraction*? How many times did you do it? Also, I found the scraping in the last step to be very difficult..you as well?

Ever think just eat more mushrooms and skip the MAOI? Have used both... Caapi is more expensive and need more
Haven't had a bad reaction from either... Ever tried commercial extract?
