Best way to fix broken glass pipe

It's always a tragic day when when you're favorite glass pipe falls to the floor and breaks. I've tried a few ways of fixing various pipes, and sometimes a little bit of super glue will do the trick, but inevitably it will probably break there again.
When my exalted double bubbler Anubis hit the floor I knew that I had to think of something that would make it last for another few years.
I knew super glue would suck by itself, but I did like that it dries and holds almost instantly. I was going to use some electrical tape after reading about someone else's success with it, but I didn't have any. Good thing I didn't because I decided to use some medical paper tape, which I think is actually great for this job.
First I put the three or four major pieces back together; it broke at the neck so there was the body, the top, and two smaller pieces that connected in between. After I tacked it together with as little super glue as possible(to prevent any from squeezing into the inside), I wrapped it in narrow strips of paper tape, which has a little flex to it. Then I soaked the paper tape in Super glue. That's why I think paper tape shines for this purpos, it soaked up a bunch of super glue creating a hardened case around the broken joint like a cast.
I was almost happy with that, but I had some needle and thread on the table, and just randomly decided to wrap some thread around it because the white paper tape was ugly and ghetto looking. Then I got to wrapping it and decided I could use the thread as extra supportv while making it look better. After it got to where I thought it looked kinda cool I then soaked the thread in Super glue to hold it all in place.

It's been a few months now and it's still solid. No super glue fumes or taste. It holds great and looks like a cool custom cast for my favorite piece of all time.

Yup, don't wanna be using glues at all. Sorry to say you're gonna have to get a new one.

Yeah, you've never done it before? it's the new thing, just light some on some foil and inhale the smoke... it gets you sooo high!

I'm thinking you didn't even read my post. I wasn't asking for help, was trying to share my success lol. In no way am I smoking any super glue, or getting any fumes or tastes. The glue isn't anywhere near the flame or heat, and I used very little glue at the glass to glass joint to prevent any seepage to the interior of the chamber. The main support comes from the surrounding combination of materials. Thanks though.

There are actually some high temperature food grade, non-toxic adhesives/epoxy that you can use to fix some glass.
EP42HT-2FG EP30HT EP30HV
But it's not going to like direct heat.

well there's no heat anywhere near the fracture so I don't get what the big deal is. Maybe I'll look into a food safe adhesive next time , but you guys are seriously blowing the whole super glue thing out of proportion.
cyanoacrylate, look it up. It's not that toxic. It's immediately polymerized by moisture in mucus membranes making it inert. worst case scenario after repeated exposure is flu like symptoms, and that has to be at over 200 parts per billion.
I haven't had any flu like symptoms, so whatever, I'm still smoking out of it. It's classified as a skin and respiratory irritant, not poisonous bio weapon, yall can get bent lol

What do you expect Yea, many people here would probably hit it if you passed it to them, with an "aww that poor glass" thought in the back of their mind. And yea, it looks like you did a good job at rigging it back together, but glass isn't supposed to be put back together Unless you're a blower, of course
And to be fair, I never said I was worried about the toxicity glue, though it was implied. The bigger thing is that gluing together glass is just cheap And I know cheap, because I am cheap .

cheap is fine, actually that was the whole point.
I'm more surprised that no one actually knows what they are taking about when it comes to super glue toxicity.
Maybe glass isn't supposed to last forever, maybe it's not supposed to be put back together, but bees aren't supposed to be able to fly either lol.

Ha I was gonna look it up before I said it but figured I'd let someone else call me out on it. Maybe a bad example but whatever, lots of things that aren't supposed to be done are done everyday lol and fixing a glass pipe just happened.

that's actually what I was going to use on top of everything else as the final layer, but I think it looks cooler as is, rather than a Grey blob, and it's solid enough so I skipped it.

my bad then. I took you saying fucking lazy as calling me fucking lazy, which i took as an insult and I took offense to the adverb. If you would have called me pain lazy it wouldn't have come off offensive or insulting. so if you don't mean to insult maybe you should try to convey them in a less offensive way.
