Early humans were tripping off psychedelics.

I got really high a while ago & it hit me...
What if thousands of years ago, the Mayans, Aztec, and other early humans ate some natural psychedelics and interpreted their trippy visions as a message from their god? The sun god, wind god, fire god, water god, goddess of fertility, goddess of beauty, etc... all these deities were just created by some guy who was tripping off a cold soup with magic mushrooms in it.
Just think about Moses seeing the burning bush & people seeing the sky open & angels coming from the sky? First drug trips ever recorded!

you actually came upon a realization that is actual truth.
Teonanácatl is the Aztec god that represents entheogenic experiences

check out the theory of the great stoned ape, goes way way way before those cultures you listed. part of that theory states that complex human consciousness and ego evolved from eating mushrooms

Have you read this book?

You might like it

I don't understand how people who were supposedly taking psilocybin mushrooms regularly (mayans or whoever) could have sacrificed their fellow man so readily, although it seems human sacrifice has been a global thing not just mayans and maybe i'm just projecting because my trips tend to be full of love, maybe other people have trips telling them to sacrifice other people & eat their still beating hearts

you can never full understand it, its not your culture. in brazil there is a church that administer ayahausca to everyone in the community, even 1 yr old kids. most mothers/people would freak the fuck out and proclaim these people irresponsible, yet they see this ceremony as essential to the well being of the community.
its all perspective bro

Groupthink is a nasty tradition of the human psyche.

Look into the stoned ape theory.
-------------------- “I think of going to the grave without having a psychedelic experience like going to the grave without ever having sex. It means that you never figured out what it is all about. The mystery is in the body and the way the body works itself into nature.” – Terence McKenna
