Mono Bucket Colonization Question
    #19241057 - 12/07/13 01:57 PM (10 years, 1 month ago)

Hello guys, I was doing a Mono Bucket as shown in Bucketing with Blake.

http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/18892960

About 2 weeks ago I made my first Mono Bucket, it took about 2 weeks until I decided it was ready to be put into fruiting.

I made a second mono bucket about 3-4 days ago tops, and I am looking at it and It is already MUCH MUCH whiter than the first mono bucket was after 2 weeks of colonizing. It also has a lot of knots where as the first mono bucket has none.

Do you think this is because I used 2 quarts of colonized rye for the second one where as I used only 1 quart of colonized rye for the first bucket?

Also, is it normal for the 5 gallon bucket to reach 100% colonization this quickly?

Thanks

So should I put the second bucket into fruiting right now??

It's completely white and it has several knots.

Deja vu :aweohyou:. When I used 2 qts I remember it taking less than a week to colonize.

Fruit that beezy! I'm pasturizing right now so tomorrow I can spawn 2 qts of WBS into 2 buckets. Also waiting on 14 more quarts to finish colonizing G2ged 2 days ago and already recovering nicely (:
