I dread to ask where you get your information.

Where did I state that this was information?
I specifically stated that it was a rumor.

information doesn't have to be factual.

a false rumour still qualifies as information--just, not very useful information.

I have no shame in saying that I absorbed this rumor from a fringe forum, and I wouldn't have retained the rumor if it didn't sound palatable or plausible in any way.

Doesn't mean I think it's true. I don't think much is true these days, though.

I had this same observation OP.  I was basically checking shroomery this morning to see if there were any Mandela threads.  I counted Zero tributes to Mandela on facebook.

RIP to both of them. Ive honestly never watched any of the Fast and Furious movies, nor do I know shit about Paul Walker. I think people are just shocked because he was an amazing person, they say.

But I mean.... lots of amazing people die daily I'm sure, its just because hes a "celebrity " that its making so much news.

right, I get it, but it's not like paul walker was a fucking genius.  He was a b rate actor in b rate movies.

I still think we can gleam something about our society from this beyond we are shocked by shocking things.  It pisses me off a little bit.

Upon reflection of both of these recent deaths, I'm convinced that the large majority of people are fucking retarded.

I saw 30+ posts about Paul Walker's death, and six, yes SIX (I counted) about Nelson Mandela's death.

I find it absolutely appalling that more people are concerned about the death some teen heart-throb faggot that raced Vin Diesel in those shit movies then died in a car crash because he's an idiot. Sure Paul Walker did some charity work. WHOOP-DEE-FUCKIN-DOO.

Nelson Mandela changed the lives of millions of people over the course of decades, many of which he spent in prison and he never lost sight of his goals while in prison. He also set new standards for human and civil rights and worked to unify a country.

Paul Walker drove fucking cars in movies and made teenage girls wet, who the fuck cares about him? He did next to nothing for society.

Well to be fair Nelson Mandela was 95 and everyone knew he was going to die soon, the other dick dying was out of the blue, and the way he died couldn't have been more magically.  Spends his life promoting wreckless driving to children only to end it the same way.

Yeah Paul Walker died a very gruesome death, but he didn't die in agony. Its more shocking so it gets more attention cause he was burned to a crisp basically.

Nelson Mandela has been sick for a while. Just how any old person does when they're that age they are just sorta sick all the time and just waiting for the last breath.

Im on my phone but . Nelson mandela did advocate land and wealth distribution.

It's a big part of what landed him in jail. His views did soften a bit being locked up for 27 years.

Trekie, dont you think black people living under Apartheid where his whole country is stolen and they are stuffed in townships used as a virtual slave labor force would be rather insane if they weren't for land and wealth redistribution?

Context.

Land changes  hands often couldn't the same be said about the Palestine and Jewish conflict?

I agree that Apartheid had to end, but to say he wasn't a communist when he was a member of the communist party and part of a communist rebal group who attacked government installations.

The Apartheid regime dug there own grave by outlawing communism and shooting protesters.

Which almost caused a civil war one that Mandela trained and was ready for.

We shouldn't gloss over history.  I urge all who dont know Mandala's full story to do some reading .

This is why finding middle ground is so important both the ANC and apartheid are extremes we should strive to avoid.
