Anyway, seems like this is more of an indictment of the characters with whom you keep company (on Facebook at least) than, I dunno, society at large.
No, no, it's society at large. Even media outlets made a much bigger deal about Walker's death than Mandela, with the exception of ABC, who aired an hour long show about Mandel's life. Keep in mind you live in NYC where people, on the whole, are more well educated (at least the area you live in). I'm willing to bet money that half the people in the US don't even know who Nelson Mandela is other and a name. I also bet that about 70%+ know who Paul Walker is and were upset about his death.

I personally find it humorous that people are mourning a terrorist responsible for murdering hundreds of innocent people. Nelson Mandela, quite the fucking hero. He led a genocidal guerilla military against the white man. Regardless of what the cause was, there is never an excuse for murder on the scale that he is responsible for.

I'm far from a white nationalist. I'm aware that white people have committed more genocide than any other race combined, but that does not mean that I condone or accept as righteous genocide against the white race. Murder of innocents is murder of innocents. Doesn't matter what race they are.
and my use of the term "the white man" is taken directly from the songs that the umkhonto we sizwe sang, if you have any idea who the fuck they were.

The South African police statistics hold the group Umkhonto we Sizwe responsible for approximately 130 deaths--about one hundred being civilians (40 white, 60 black), with the rest being security forces.
100 innocents deaths, though regrettable, is not really a reason to remain pacifist. I'm sure more than a hundred innocent people had their lives destroyed due to apartheid in South Africa--and I'm sure more than 100 innocent folk would have gone on to have their lives ruined by apartheid policy, had it been allowed to continue.
If pacifist principles allow for greater injustice to continue unopposed than a militant opposition would present, can it really be claimed as the greater good?
I assume you are just as opposed to those who fought in WWII. No excuse for murder on that scale.

Even if your statistics are true (i would love to see the source), how many more were injured? How many innocent lives ruined? He is hailed as a hero for "ending apartheid", when really all he did was try to reverse it. He wasn't a harbinger or advocate of peace. He was a militant revolutionary that is responsible for the deaths of innocent people. It shouldn't matter HOW MANY people died. The fact that he was involved in the murder of innocent people means that he is on the same level as those that he was rebelling against.

Genocide against the white race? Necessity makes for strange bedfellows but do you seriously think Nelson Mandels had genocide of the white race in mind?
The black majority led by the ANC didnt build death camps after apartheid was over, they had the truth commission that absolved every scum and lowlife from punishment for the crimes against humanity commited against them as long as they honestly and publically confessed the horrid acts they committed.
That is an act of unspeakable benevolence, generosity and forgiveness.
Heard of Project Coast? Apartheid was actually trying to pervert science to produce bioweapons that would selectovely genocide black people off the continent of Africa. THAT is genocide. And those unbelievable scumbags who had part in projects like that got absolved as long as they confessed.

Nelson Mandela was a dirty commie. It has nothing to do with race. The S.A goverment dug its own grave by its actions. If they would have had slow control reform like we did when JFK went all splattered on jackie-O's pretty dress. (JFKs biggest accomplishment was getting shot he passed jack shit before well he did pass herpes to the interns.) Then S.A would have had a much smoother transition and wouldn't be such a shit hole now.
When you kill off and jail all the people in the middle you are left only with extremist.
See the middle east and most of north Africa for examples.

I've said my piece about how the ends can sometimes justify the means--instead of responding to my reasoning, you've just reiterated your belief that the ends never justify the means--so, I'll ask again--WWII saw the loss of innocent life on a scale that completely dwarfs that which we can attribute to Nelson Mandela--did the ends justify the means?
If pacifist principles allow for greater injustice to continue unopposed than a militant opposition would present, can it really be claimed as the greater good?

Im on my phone but . Nelson mandela did advocate land and wealth distribution.
It's a big part of what landed him in jail. His views did soften a bit being locked up for 27 years.

As I stated previously, I don't deny for a second that Europeans and "white people" in general have been the major force of genocide on this planet ever since they came into existence. I am fully aware of the use of bioweapons agains not only blacks, but all other races that aren't "white". I've heard rumors that Paul Walkers death was an assassination of sorts because he had learned of some sort of bioweapon (permenent birth control/impotency agent) being deployed through the "aid" to the people in the Philippines. How true this is, I don't know but I like to play with ideas. I also like to immediately take a stance against that which is the general consensus, and in this case that would be the love and mourning of Mandela. The "opinions" I appear to state are not my own, because I have none, but are simply an exercise in a "devils advocate" sort of stance. I appreciate your knowledge of the subject, as most others that i have come into contact with appear to be completely ignorant and accuse me of being racist. I'll admit that the majority of my research into Mandela has been mostly his involvement with Umkhonto we Sizwe, and the charges for which he was imprisoned. It's just that the thing that bugged me the most were the mantras and songs that they chanted and sang speaking of "we the members of MK. have pledged ourselves to kill them, the AMA - BHULU" Bhulu meaning white people.

Trekie, dont you think black people living under Apartheid where his whole country is stolen and they are stuffed in townships used as a virtual slave labor force would be rather insane if they werent for land and wealth redistribution?
