I would advise against it....LCs, especially from spores, are risky and a big waste of time if you ask me.

Just knock up your jars with some spores and you will be miles ahead.

You can't......MS will ALWAYS be a crapshoot of genetics.

This is why we isolate single sets of genetics on agar and grow them out, to weed out the "good" from the "bunk".

This is like asking "I'm about to bang my wife, how can I ensure we get a boy?" You can't, just knock up a lot of women and some of them will likely be boys.

It could have been your tolerance level, too. how far apart did you space your trips?

Lol yeah no doubt. I have a friend tho who used to eat shrooms daily cause he had so many, and it eventually just wound up giving him headaches and nausea. But thats kind of extreme and pretty rare.

You can't, you need to clone or isolate first, grow that out to see what you have, and then keep the good stuff and ditch the bunk.

You don't....that's the kicker.....you find out if it's potent later.

You can only tell by time AFTER you grow them out & test them.  No other way around it. Before you consume, take a small portion from the inside of a stem by ripping it and using sterile techniques to put it on agar.  If it's good, go ahead and use the myclium from the tissue to further isolate or add wedges to grain or any sub you choose.

Pick a prolific fruiter meaning fast and decent size take note of a few. Clone them to agar label which is which. Eat each one and note the potency. Then rate the made agar plates. Lastly grow out or isolate further, the already made agar plates and u should have some similar fruits. Rinse, repeat.

You don't have to wait, just don't eat the whole thing. Pick a bunch of mushies that show good growth potential, take your clone to petri, and then eat the mushies noting which is which. I'd probably dry them all out, your various samples that is, and take a ~.3g dose of each to determine the potency, should give you a reasonable idea. You can likely dose day after day too since it's such a small dose tolerance shouldn't be affected.
