Help me ID these please
    #19239907 - 12/07/13 08:51 AM (10 years, 2 months ago)

Hey I live in South Florida and I picked these last night and I suspect them to be Copelandia cyanescens. Am I correct?

Thanks for the input. I'm noticing that on the edges of the cap, they are dark, they look black to me but could be passed off as a very dark blue, can you draw any conclusions from this?

Wow thank you so much. A shame though, these are the only ones I could recover from my bag that I picked last night. (~110 grams) I was too lazy to stary drying them last night so I left them in the bag wet and they turned very nasty overnight. What a shame. Whatever though, should I expect a mild trip from eating all of these early christmas presents?

I'm very new to shrooming and to get this straight, bluing refers to the shrooms turning blue correct?

Can you take a better pic in natural light so we can see the bluing a little better?
How many grams wet is that?

Thank you. And when you say you see no bluing, does that mean that they are an incorrect species or does it mean they hadn't reached a certain level of maturity?

Yes I will get right on that. I'm not too sure because I don't own a scale myself but I'd say ~5-6 grams wet.

They are either Pan.antillarum(no bluing),or Pan.cyanescens(bluing).

I think that big one in the middle is P.antillarum and the rest are P.cyanescens.
Anyone else agree?

P.antillarum is not active but not toxic either.

Haha I like that reply. Yes we will definitely find out later today. If I can remember, I'll post a link to a trip report i'll right tomorrow. I think I'm gonna take them in 4 hours or so (EST) so I can watch the sunset since I live in Florida.

Probably all P. antillarum but worse case is just some indigestion and a nice placebo... lol.

Nah, most of them are Copelandia. The bluing is very obvious.
