When you can't find coarse perlite ANYWHERE
    #19239303 - 12/07/13 01:11 AM (10 years, 1 month ago)

You looked in every store that should have it in your region? amazon charges out the ass to ship a bag that big? Well fear no more, for I have stumbled across a solution.

The link is found below!

You can order a 2 cubic feet bag of coarse grade perlite from home depots website to be delivered to your door. The shipping is only like 6 or 7 bucks. And thats a pretty damn big bag, the bag itself  is like 17 bucks.

So yeah, finally an alternative to driving around all over town for some stupid rocks

isn't it obnoxious?

It wouldn't be so bad if the shroomery sponsors sold bigger bags of perlite. I got one from a sponsor (ommitting the name) and it was a tiny amount. And it cost like 15 dollars for that tiny amount.

This is where experience is nice. Eventually you figure out which stores have what.

These are the TEKs I use. They're all as cheap and easy as possible, just like your mom.

I get 4 Cu Ft for $25, same as Vermiculite. A 56 lb bag of rye from the same place is $25. 4 Cu Ft is a hella big bag.Funny thing is he only sells course in the big bags. Smaller ones are fine grade perlite. Same store. That's convenient.

god i never realized you can cut SFD into smaller pieces. When I got a couple I was like "these aren't big enough to cover the mouth of my jars...these are WORTHLESS!"

Feel like such a tard now. Of course you just cut a piece big enough for an air hole.

now i just need to make some self healing injection ports and my jars will be much improved. As i don't like polyfill.
