Polyfil or no Polyfil?
    #19236943 - 12/06/13 02:52 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

Hey guys, I am worried about my mono bucket not getting enough FAE because the holes are a little on the small side..

I read a post that RR said to take the polyfil out at 100% colonization because fresh air is the #1 pinning trigger.

Yet everyone on here uses polyfil for their monotubs,

which is it?

It's a mono bucket.

5 Gallon Bucket, as shown in Bucketing with Blake.

just look for the dry ring around your polly and a nice build up of condensation everywhere else, no dry ring=not enough fae, no condensation=too much fae. you certainly can remove them if you have the time to baby it

It doesn't matter what i think of you...all that matters is clean spawn

Well I have condensation so I am definetly not getting too much FAE.

Could you explain what a dry ring is?

I love these bucket monos.

How big are your holes and how many? Some pics would be nice  :datass:

Your substrate is going to dry out way too quickly if you pull the poly from all the holes.

Blake took the idea of leaving one top hole open (poly free) from me and has had quite the success with it, give this a shot
