Inoculating Jars with Caps

Hey guys,
I'm out of spores and plan on using the B+ I am currently growing to start more jars. Instead of making a spore print and making the print into a syringe I would like to drop a cap directly into a jar and wait for growth. My logic is that cutting out extra steps will decrease the risk of contams...Any advice if I'm wanting to do this for the first time?
Thanks.

don't do it, your logic is way off, don't skip steps theres no time for that in this hobby, caps are dirty

OK so the easiest, simplest way to go is to make a syringe from a spore print? I'd like to do a live tissue inoculation and thought that this would be the most sterile way.

That mushroom was grown in an open environment and therefore covered with contaminants.
It will not work.

im curious about this idea as well..
i dont quite understand how it apparently is less clean than making a print?
when making a print the cap goes directly on a tin-foil square for example. you can sterilize the tin-foil, but whatever comes off the cap after that is gonna end up on your print right? its not like you can sterilize your print after its made because that would kill the spores?
so whats the difference in going mush-cap to sterile foil or from mush cap to sterile substrate?

Because if you just throw a cap in the jar, the top of the cap (which is covered in contams) will touch your sterile grain.
On foil, you print in a still air environment. That way any contams that are on your cap stay on top, and not where your print drops. You're supposed to use minimal foil, and this is why you should always start on agar.

no print(there are exceptions)are ever clean but we have a much higher percentage of good spores to bad, even with prints agar is reccomended

Also, won't a freshly cut cap start to rot if you threw it in a grain jar?
no bueno...

If it were sterile, it'd revert back to mycelium and grow. But it's not.
