Hello Again!
So after a very successful mushroom picking trip i've found myself baffled and confused. I found 2.5 ounces (wet) of what you helped me identify as "Panaeolus subgenus Copelandia".
Something interesting about these mushrooms is that i often find them with what i believe to be bug bites. It's not uncommon for them to be missing half the cap. Ants seem to be attracted to them too. Almost half of all the mushrooms i find have already been bruised by something.
**Found on cow dung (flat cow field with high grass), blue bruising. Tried them before and tripped beyond the galaxy!
The source of my confusion is what i believe to be a Cubensis. Now, this is a very weird cubensis since there's no left over ring on the stem. Something worth noting is that it smells different from the Copes and that it was very "slippery" on top.

Here are the pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Now dry and ready for storage.

Next to print.

Sometimes the partial veil gets washed off or knocked off. Id say its a cube and no confusion is needed.

That's Psilocybe cubensis.
Every now and then you'll see one without a distinct ring or faint remnants.

Ah!
It's the first time i've found a cube, you see.
I looked for cubes and found copes, then suddenly found a single lonely mushroom that appeared to be a cube... Without a ring.

Keep hunting them and you'll find all types of interesting morphology...double stems, connected caps, white gills etc. Pretty cool stuff.
Congrats on your first cubensis find!
