Hey, so....long story short, embarking on my first growing experiement....super noob, so please bare with me....! Anyway, I've ennoculated my substrate successfully an already have mycelium growth at a healthy pace.... So like I said, I have blotching around the glass, I presume it will be a little while still before their ready for the terrarium. The thing I'm wrestling with, is I'm going to need to leave town for at least 48 hours for the Christmas holiday to visit family an stuff.....(today is dec 6th)
I guess my first question is, if I have mycelium completely covered around all of the glass of the canning jar....how long can it sit in that state before it must go in the terrarium?
On the other hand, if I do decide to put them into the terrarium before leaving, what's the best way to manage a 48 hour leave, as far as a ultrasonic humidifier and timer system that will hold things down in my absence?
Last question....hypothetically, if u were running a humidifier and it ran out of water, how long before the mushrooms would die? Would it just stunt or delay the growth or would it kill them altogether? And what would be That time frame?
Hope that makes sense somewhat....any advice is much appriciated!

It will be fine if it isnt fruiting yet.. once i had a mycobag that started pinning when i had to leave town for a couple days.. on the way home(on a greyhound bus!) I had the bag fruiting in my bacpack when a border agent got on the bus with a drug dog bc the next stop after mine fr the bus was canada.. i almost shit my self but dogs must not be able to sniff out psilocybin apparantly.. long story short dont bring your grow on a trip with you bc you dont wanna get busted with a mobile drug lab!

Lol....yea I would of definitely shat myself.... So anyway, so ur saying by the time Christmas comes, and I need to leave for a couple days and the canning cars are mostly fully colonized or close to it, it would be cool to just leave them for a little longer before actually putting them in the fruiting chamber? Hypothetically speaking, if a canning jar is complely colonized, how long can it sit in that state before going In the fruiting chamber? Thx again, I'm anxious to learn as much as possible....!

You can put the bag into the fridge to slow down growth, for what I've read. Also, I don't think just two days are going to harm you at all. People have left their cakes and grains for a week just to come back to some pins that don't represent a lot of trouble.
