Crop Circles

I got interested in crop circles a couple of years ago and visited a few pretty spectacular formations last summer. I realise that most crop circles can apparently be explained away quite easily now with GPS and the like. But how about this one?
This circle was created in 1990 which would have been quite a way before GPS was available to civilians. It was scored into the hard desert ground, and all of the lines are of equal thickness an depth, all 13 miles of it.
In addition I also did a bit of research into the symbol, the Sri Yantra. It turns out it is incredibly difficult to draw by hand with any accuracy. The lines of the triangles all have intersecting points, but in many (inaccurate) versions these intersections create more smaller triangles because it's so hard to draw and the get the intersections spot on. You basically need a computer to figure it out. This article explains why it is so hard to reproduce.

So, with all this in mind, how could this circle have feasibly been created by humans in the remote desert in 1990?

Well props to him if he really did it. Quite an amazing feat, especially to get the design so perfect and the lines perfectly even, and remove all of the soil plowed out, and leave no trace of activity.
