The Terrible Idea Thread

It's human nature to have terrible ideas and to look back and say "hey that was really dumb." Sometimes we know even while we do the things that they are dumb. I find myself doing it all the time. Please share with the community your terrible ideas.
I'll start. I decided to stir my coffee with my ecig because I didn't feel like getting a spoon. Terrible idea. It now lights spontaneously and will probably be dead soon. Was the last disposable blu I could find too

Too many to name.. But 2 incidents come to mind.
Punching a window, made even dumber by the fact that my brother had just done it the day before and he got a really bad cut on his finger. I got it worse, I got a slash on my wrist that was really deep. Scared the shit out of me.. I thought I was going to bleed out. I wasn't the only one afraid, friend who was there and saw it started freaking out too.
Daring a friend to steal a car and then getting in said car. He wouldn't stfu about stealing this 240sx that was sitting by one of the busiest roads in this city with a for sale sign on it. I got tired of hearing it and bet him a half a pack of cigarettes he wouldn't do it to shut him up. To my surprise, he went and did it. Rode home in the car, and later that night went another city in it and otw back a state trooper flashed his lights. Friend was driving and waited til the last second and ducked off the freeway. Ended up in a high speed chase (highlights include driving 120+ mph down a 2 lane unlit road, blacked out, launching over a set of steep railroad tracks and missing an off duty officer responding to the call by literally about 6 inches and flipping the car 2 and a half times and totaling it). Very lucky to still be alive, I didn't even have a seat belt on. I saw the crash coming and managed to brace myself by pushing my hand into the roof and my feet into the floor.
The trooper wasn't even trying to pull us over as the car hadn't even been reported stolen yet. He was trying to pull over the only other vehicle on the road.. They have the whole chase on camera and I watch a lot of the police chase videos hoping to see it someday.

With my face against the floor I can’t see who knocked me out of the way. I don’t want to get back up but I have to so it might as well be today. Nothing appeals to me no one feels like me, I’m too busy being calm to disappear. I’m in no shape to be alone contrary to the shit that you might hear. You can't wake up, this is not a dream. 1988, about 4 AM, a 15yo boy sits in his mom's chair, and his sleepy eyes focus on his moms pouch of rolling tobacco. Having experienced the joys of inhalants he wonders if smoking a cigarette will make him high, and whether that is why people smoke. Then he gets a Terrible Idea. Clumsy as fuck he rolls a filter cigarette, takes the lighter, strikes it, puts it to the cigarette and inhales.
If I had a time machine..
Flash forward, 2013.. with 6 months of abstinence I now believe I have quit smoking for good.

Wow fuck I was gonna share my idiot idea of stealing a car to get home after being kicked out of a strip club... But yours is so much worse ( mine went smoothly BTW, just left it by some train tracks near my house and never heard about it since; and it was a phone company van, otherwise id feel pretty guilty about it if it was actually some persons car..)

He didn't. Last I heard he's back in prison for another stolen car.
