For me... Tangerine.
Hell, while we're at it why not throw in Pink Floyd. Actually, the Beatles too
Led zeppelin: Tangerine Pink Floyd: Echoes (Pompeii recording is amazing) Beatles: Come Together
How bout you?

That's an impossible question for me to answer having been listening to rock and roll, (among other genres of music), for almost 45 years.
Check out the answers to my favorite Christmas song thread as they develop ... . . .

OP you've picked MY favorite Led song too. Tangerine just fills me up, especially at the end with the backtracked guitar over the original... and it's just a really heart warming song... i think LZ3 is my favorite album too.
my favorite Pink Floyd song is Dogs which is off my favorite album of course, Animals...
and my favorite Beatles song... now that's a tough one; but i think... because Revolver is my favorite album, i'd have to choose off that one... and the track that i hold dearest is I'm Still Sleeping.

Heh, a day in the life is actually one of my favourite Beatles songs, hence my screen name
It never ceases to amaze me how I can listen to these three bands all the time and NEVER get sick of them.. I love them all so much.

The last one. If there was any band that sucked ass during the 1970's it was Zep.

Led Zeppelin is my all time favorite band. Hard to choose a favorite song, but I guess I'd have to go with The Ocean. Beatles-Hey Jude Pink Floyd-Hey You

Since I've been loving you or Going to California..
Depends on my mood, but Tangerine is definitely up there, along with thank you & that's the way... I really like the more folky zeppelin songs .

Actually, they have a stupid formula for this now, like they do with everything else. I think they call it "classic rock" if it's over 25 years old. 15 if the artist died. (At least, that's what I've been told.)
This is why they play both Guns N Roses as well as Nirvana and Alice In Chains on my local "Classic Rock" station. Which depresses me to no end. GNR is on the border... but Nirvana and AIC are way too recent to be "Classic Rock."
As to the OP.... I've always had a soft spot for Kashmir. And the first time my GF ever went down on me, that song was playing. So now it's even happier.
I don't think I could pick a favorite Beatles song. Too many amazing ones. But "A Day In The Life" is pretty goddamned high up there, so it would be a contender, at the least. Hey Jude, Let it Be, Walrus, Strawberry Fields, Elanor Rigby, Ballad of John and Yoko, Hey Bulldog, pretty much every song on Abbey Road... way too much good stuff....
