brown spots on mushrooms
    #19235127 - 12/06/13 04:09 AM (10 years, 1 month ago)

Hello everyone i'm quite new to growing so please excuse my inexperience

I just harvested my second flush of B+ cubensis and most of the mushroom are in great shape. There is one mushroom however that has these brown spots on it:

The other mushrooms are not (visibly) affected and the cake still seems in good shape as well.

now my questions are:

(1) can this particular mushroom still be eaten in the infected part is removed?

(2) if not, can the other mushrooms of this flush still be eaten?

(3) is this likely to have a negative effect for the next flush?

(4) if so, is there anything I can do to save the next flush?

Thanks for your time!

It's some kind of damage. Just having some brown discoloration doesn't make it inedible. If it's slimy or smelly as well that's another story.
