What's worse? Too much surface moisture or too much fresh air?

So sometimes I seem to overmist. Whenst doing so I figure I'd counteract with a tad but of fan blowing to evaporate excess moisture. Question being is it better to let the excess moisture evap naturally sans regular fae style or better to dry it up a lil quicker? Does that make sense?

If you're talking about cakes I'd just mist 3x a day fan 5x a day. You do want the water to evaporate because that forms pins and keeps them from being waterlogged. Just mist til everything glistens and fan for 30 seconds or so and then leave it be, let the temp in your room and passive fae take care of the rest. And most importantly, be patient.

Tubs shouldn't need to be misted at all if you properly prepared your bulk material. Only time it should be heavily misted if after a flush, that is if you don't dunk it..
Colonizing tubs should be taped up given ambient light 12/12 and kept with the lid on til full colonization
Fruiting tubs should have poly in the holes, a fan on low in the room and fruited in 70-75 temp range.
How'd you prepare your substrate?

Mushrooms don't generally grow underwater. They do love fresh air & humidity.

too much moisture would be worse. It's good to have a fluctuation of RH in your tubs, because it causes moisture to evaporate from the surface, Which is the number one pinning trigger. Over saturation of the substrate can result in stalling, poor production and/or, even, contams.
Also, there's no such thing as "too much" FAE as long as your RH is largely hurt.
