Acne problem...

I really don't have that much acne besides a few pimples here or there on my face and upper back, but it is rarely ever an issue, with a breakout every few months or so (and absolutely nothing compared to when I was a teenager).
But, I do get fuck tons of zits on my ass. Literally it looks like I have chicken pox sometimes. Beyond there, on my inner thighs I get huge, pimples that are extremely painful and take a couple of weeks to come to a head for me to get the chance to pop them. I've got a golf ball sized red ring surround this one, under skin blemish coming in right now and I feel it 24/7.
Does anybody know what this is about? I shower on a daily basis, and scrub my ass/inner thighs, and have tried every OTC remedy for acne there is.

I've had those things on the inner thighs. Nasty stuff and painful. They went away after I changed my diet. These are not random they are caused by reactions to certain things we take in .The random factor is who will get the reaction - but if you are predisposed to the reaction to certain foods then it will always trigger it. Took me like four months of strict diet before they didn't come back. Glad to be rid of it and never going back to old eating habits. Shit looked nasty like a v/d I wouldn't even think about flirting with people cause it seemed pointless. Now I strut my stuff :P Search around the nets with diet and pimples in mind. The trigger foods tend to be different for everyone but there is a lot of cross-over and popular culprits. Good luck

Yeah dude, I think I remember learning in one of my nutrition classes that that's either a nutritional deficiency/toxicity/allergy...I forget which.
You should go see a doctor, but DO NOT (!!!) let them put you on Accutane. I don't even know if they still give that to people but it's basically a vitamin A bomb to the gut everyday. It made me extremely depressed and emotional and I suspect sparked my early male pattern baldness at age 18. It also made my skin kinda thin and pale looking, and I got nose bleeds a lot. It also might have fucked up my liver or kidney or something, we'll see down the line...I should probably fuckin sue somebody...
But yeah, don't take that shit. Totally cured my acne, but raped me otherwise. Go the holistic route first, good diet and exercise. Just remember that good food = whole foods (not the store, veggies and meat and fruit, maybe avoid dairy cause that can give people acne. Also fuck cereals and go easy on the bread, try potatoes and bananas or rice or other whole grains.

Does your ass sweat a lot? I never had an acne problem, but since I've started working out I have had a problem with zits on my chest. I also seem to sweat there more than elsewhere, and realized that if I didn't linger in my sweaty t-shirts any longer than necessary, the zits disappeared.

No, no perspiration problems. I sit a lot throughout the day, probably about 10 out of my 16 hours awake a day, but I don't sweat much at all.
@jimboob, I want to go to a doctor but I'm so fucking embarrassed about this shit it is ridiculous. I know that is irrational, but I can't get over it.

I know this sounds weird, but you should test any variables you can think of... If you wear underwear, stop wearing it. If you don't, start.

I've worn everything from tighty-whiteys to boxers since this has started happening about 10 years ago (age 13). I've been on different acne treatments (never accutane), and it has never cleared up this persistent problem with inner-thigh acne. Ass acne is a more recent development after the age of 18 or so (23 now). I've been on a clean diet, I've been on a dirty diet, I've been on the the cocaine and vodka diet, nothing changes any of it. It's almost like a hormonal cycle that is at play.

Maybe it's not acne. Maybe it's ringworm or something like that. Have you tried antifungals to see if they do anything?
