in most states there's a law that allows for people to be charged with
murder if there's a death while you're committing a crime. it's common
knowledge and the 'case no one has heard of' maybe if you spent your time
reading about shit as opposed to bumpin' your gums, you might not have to
try and 'disprove' something you're clueless about

Yeah.. I've been in those type of situations.. That's what I can safely say that the risk of shooting at someone before they even got close to pulling anything out is riskier then waiting like I said, a millisecond tops to see what the fuck is going on. It's not that difficult.
I guess if you're a police officer that jumps at the drop of a pin or shoots just because they can, that might fly. But for anyone else that has any types of rules of engagement that shit won't fly.
As I said more often then not when a police officer fires at someone because they "saw" a weapon, or "thought" they were reaching for one, they usually don't have one. I also believe that the fallout from them doing those things is more costly then trying to be "safe"

Yeah, that is a good point too. If they are going to fire on someone preemptively they at least hit the fucking target and not an innocent bystander..
Call me crazy but I think firing at someone in the middle of New York is pretty idiotic, unless they obviously have a weapon and are endangering people (aside from trying to commit suicide by getting hit by a vehicle)

Well, they're so trigger happy that their trigger weights got jacked up so now when they actually need to shoot their weapons (unlike this situation), they end up missing because of the pull the action of pulling the trigger has.

Shoot a guy because they "thought" he had a gun... Hit two innocent civilians.. Turns out he didn't have a gun...

This isn't an isolated case, this shit happens all the time. It might be a new era of logic, if you never use your brain to actually think through a situation. Especially making blind assumptions based on things you haven't experienced yourself. I could be jumping the gun but I have a sneaking suspicion that you've never been in a situation similar do this.

Neither of you live in NYC, shit works differently in this area. They didn't even hit the fucker, and if you can't shoot for shit you better damn well make sure the guy has a gun.

That's exactly what I'm trying to say.. Trying to save people from getting shot doesn't really work out when you end up being the one shooting them.
