The filming of 'Frozen Planet' * 1
    #19227027 - 12/04/13 02:41 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

'Frozen Planet' is a series of Discovery Channel documentaries on the wildlife and climate of the coldest regions of the planet.

'The Filming of Frozen Planet' is a behind-the-scenes documentary on how 'Frozen Planet' was made.

Both are quite interesting, well done, and worth watching.

What I would like to suggest is a documentary on the filming of 'The Filming of Frozen Planet'. This could be an ongoing infinite regression.

Is that the one where they have the spherical little camera that rolls around messing with the polar bears?

Little known fact: polar bear populations are decreasing because polar bears cannot 'do it' while being watched.

Damn you, spherical cameras! :shakefist:

I recently bought this one for my Attenborough collection. Haven't gotten around to watching it yet, though

I wonder if the polar bear would eat the green eggs and ham? It doesn't mind the leftover whale carcass much.

It's pretty good, though I still think nothing can top Planet Earth for pure ambition and scope.  I still have not seen Human Planet though which sounds really awesome.

Planet Earth is marvellous.

The next time you're tripping, watch Jungles on 1.5x fast forward on mute to Beethoven's 5th. Guaranteed to be one the funniest yet most epic media experiences of your life.  :awesomenod:

I don't think Human Planet is officially Attenborough, I think he might be just featured in it. But it looks interesting, nonetheless

That's one of my favorite documentaries. The series is amazing in Bluray on a big screen.

And this scene is one of the freakiest things I've see in nature...
