as someone who kind of liked the x-men movies and wolverine origins, i would have to give "the wolverine" 1/10.
holy fuck, are movies written by 12 year olds now? everything in that movie was cliche, retarded, and super fucking boring. what psychopath would make a shitty fucking nonsense movie like that 2 hours and 20 minutes long. what psychopath paid 120 million dollars for that shit.
I went on wikipedia to see if it lost a bunch of money and was universally reviled, but nope, it made a shit ton of money and it got okay critical reviews.
i only watch like 1 or 2 movies a year, and i may just never watch another movie ever.

Haha dude.. I catch your drift.. The thing is i feel that psychedelic drugs ruined it for me.. If I see a new movie, it feels like I've seen it before.. Everything is bombarded by cheap cliches

I actually didn't mind the wolverine
It wasn't great, but it wasn't too terrible
Worth watching once

WATCH OLDER MOVIES and you can avoid this horrendous new movie industry. there is alot more good movies that i've seen this past few years then in the whole of the last decade; but still nonetheless, their are more shitty films then good ones nowadays... in the 70's, now that twas a golden age in film, you should just catch up on some old ones that catch your eye.

I liked it. You gotta let it go for the show. It can be cool. If you're really worried watch some of the movies on the TCM station. That'l get your brain bumpin.

I saw
Duck, you sucker!
on western classics, that was a good one. Very greek/latin style of story telling, old movies are like that
you know with Plot, movies now, especially action seem like they are trying to mind rape you with SFX and some insanely huge story that goes on and on

Japanese film is what i am "into" now. i watched Tokyo Story and Woman in the Dunes the other day. one was amazingly sentimental, but in a way that i could stomach (1952) and the other was an immense story of simplicity, like the style of the other one, but it was a much more twisted premise (1967) and is considered an experimental film, if only for it's gritty premise.
also Vengeance is Mine is some mean shit, and a very early film (1970) for depicting the the nastiness it shows.
i wanted to watch "The Searchers" some time... i read it's one of the best western films... but i really want to watch some Sergio Leone ones too. i haven't been that into Western films until i saw that Liberty Vance movie, with Charles Laughton as the drunken sheriff and of course John Wayne as some deputy or some kinda gun slingin' nut. THAT was awesome... kindled some flames for the old lout of the silent filmmaking period. also... i haven't seen too many "Film-Noir" movies... i bet some of those are boss.

outside of Miyazaki?
try Mindgame or Paprika. there is just tons of anime, and i haven't been keeping up with my oldest school of post-Warner bros animation... but Mindgame and Paprika are definite wins, if you ain't seen 'em yet.

The sad truth. Quality doesn't matter anymore. People will watch anything these days.

I watched paprika, you ever see the Inside the actors studio with the Japanese voice actors in the specials?
They totally call gay vibe's on the guy sitting there who voiced the fat person, it was fucked!
