Homemade psilocybe ovoideocystidiata grow kit questions

Ok, so I have looked and looked for a solid answer for this, but there is one part I can't quite get. I live in the Ohio river valley area, so naturally, come April I'm on the hunt for ovoids.
So the plan is as follows,
-go find and identify (by bruising and a field spore printing) a patch of mature psilocybe ovoideocystidiata
-pick what I can and dig up the mycelium, take it home, use latex gloves and break it down to pea sized chunks, then mix it up with old dead rotted wood in a sterile tuperware container and allow the mycelium to take over.
-once it is completely taken over (this is where the confusion begins) fill with water and let soak for 12 hours then drain completely (as you would with the grow kits, is somthing else going on in those little boxes I'm missing?)
-then I would open the lid and set it in my bag with the air filter patch and wait for fruits.
If anyone at all sees any problems with this method please let me know, it's december right now so I've got more then enough time to get this figured out.

Grab an ovoid.
Take a clone.
Inoculate the clone culture to grains, then go from there

That is an option, but I am a newb, this is all in theory right now,I dont have any kind of supplies and need to keep a very low profile on what's going on, I'm also thinking of having an outside patch when I can, maybe when spring rolls around I'll be confident enough and have the right gear to try my hand at cloning.

Bump, is this looking alright? Any major flaws? Do I have to dehydrate the mycelium then re soak it?

The whole plan is a major flaw. Do what Frank said if you want results.

These are the TEKs I use. They're all as cheap and easy as possible, just like your mom.
