Every War On Drugs Myth Thoroughly Destroyed By A Retired Police Captain * 3
    #19228374 - 12/04/13 07:32 PM (10 years, 1 month ago)

Great vid  :chicken:

:mindblown:

Retired police Capt. Peter Christ is about to make more sense about the War on Drugs than anyone you've ever heard in the past. His basic premise is that we need to legalize drugs, but if you're skeptical, just give him a few minutes to convince you.
Highlights include a very honest answer to a commonly asked drug question at 0:54, the easiest question to answer about the War on Drugs at 4:48, the complete destruction of the biggest argument anti-drug advocates use at 7:23, using the Bible to prove the ineffectiveness of prohibition at 13:55, and a rapid-fire debunking of several myths all in one breath at 14:20.
If you have to leave right now, just skip to 5:58 for the thesis statement in a single sentence.

This was Published on Oct 25, 2012 but has never been more relevant.

The only problem is there are too many in power making too much money on this war.

--------------------
It is without question that the war on drugs is a failure. It has failed to prevent drug abuse. It has failed to keep drugs out of the hands of addicts. It has failed to stop drug overdoses. It has failed to keep drugs away from teenagers. It has failed to stop the violence associated with drug trafficking. It has failed to help drug addicts get treatment. It has failed to prevent the cultivation of marijuana and the making of illicit drugs. It has failed to halt the flow of illegal drugs into the United States.

Very well spoken dude, very succinct, very on point.  The man is not full of shit that's so nice to hear someone going against the grain like that.

i think drug illegalization is just for parties to net votes and shit

it's a great way to distract people, it's like modern gladiator fights.

This guy speaks common sense, which means that no lawmaker will take him seriously if he lives to be a million.

Another one with him, maybe not as exciting but no less brilliant.

He nailed it. However, the govt makes to much money off illegal drug trade otherwise they would have ended prohibition already. They spend 70 billion. They must be making somenof that money back or the whole operation just wouldn't make sense. The govt isn't that stupid.....or maybe they are.

Government's income comes from taxation. The things they spend money on don't have to be profitable. It helps if they attract votes or lobbying money though.

"the govt makes to much money off illegal drug trade"

The banking system and the elite make the money off the illegal drug trade, the government just enforces the drug laws.
