Armillaria and pluteus ID

The first one, I am about 95% confident that i have properly ID'd as Pluteus cervinus.
This second one, I believe, is Armillaria mellea. I'm not great with Armillaria IDs, so any input would be excellent.

Sorry for the crappy microscopy. I'm working with a camera phone.

Regarding the Pluteus, does the pileipellis have clamp connections?
Regarding the Armillaria, are the cells in the annulus sometimes larger than 8 micrometers?

Hey Alan, thanks for responding. As far as measurements, I am still handicapped. My stage micrometer hasn't arrived yet. That pretty much makes the microscopy worthless, but since it is a new toy, I'm still going to play with it and practice.
I haven't observed the piliepellis or annulus yet - micro noob!
Now that I have my google-degree on the piliepellis, ill check it out under the scope.
Should I just lightly peel the pellicule back and observe some of the tissue under the pellicle?

You can use red blood cells as a scale, they are around 8 micrometers.
To observe the pileipellis I usually do a cross section, but since you are looking for clamp connections, a scalp section sounds better. I would stain it and press down halfway hard on the cover slip to force all the hyphae into the same focal plane.
This observation has some Pluteus micro features including the clamp connections in the pileipellis:

Thanks Alan! I need to run a few chores for the wifey, but when I get back, I'll see if i can get the pics up.
For blood cell reference- can I just pick a scab and put a small amount of blood on the slide with the annulus? Or would that somehow mess up measurements/view ability? I understand what you mean about pressing the glass cover. It's relatively hard to get everything in focus when dealing with that extra 3rd dimension.
I have potassium permangenate that I can use for a dye- not ideal, but it will strain tissue(and oxidize it, so ilk have to work fast). I'll have to swing by a fish store tomorrow and pick up some methylane blue.
I hope you know that I do appreciate the time you put in for us. It would be easy for you to give an ID based on macroscopic features, but by giving me more things to look up and research, I feel like I am getting a lot more out of the shroomery than just "Hey, can theze make me trip balllllllllz?"
I wish there were classes I could take to learn more about this stuff. As time progresses, fungi become more and more part of our human lives. Mushrooms are on the up and up, and I want in.

Yes a scab is generally the easiest way to get blood. Much better than using a sewing needle.
Yes, put the blood in with the annulus.
Methylene blue is a great stain, but it's not required - The pics of the clamp connections in the link I posted are not stained.
Food coloring might work as well.
