?Mg hydrated lime dolomite?

Hello,
Searched around a little and can't get a straight answer
RR's straw pasteurization technique calls for hydrated lime.
My local feed store has "dolomite hydrated lime (mg20%)"
Magnesium is said to hinder mush growth in casings, but..
Does the magnesium content matter when pasturizing???
Can this 20% magnesium hydrated be used successfully to pasturize straw??

lime isn't needed for the pasturizing, It keeps the straw pH high for a week or more after pasteurization, which makes it harder for contaminant spores to germinate and get a foothold.
but i only used it when i first started with straw but once i stopped i never had any issues so i don't bother, but the stuff you speak of will work

Does anybody else have any insight
It's reccomended not to put all eggs in one basket

Does the magnesium content matter when using the lime for pasteurization? Or does it only effect casings??
