First time advice

Hey guys. First timer here
Contemplating picking up a tab of LSD from a life long friend. I have smoked weed before and tripped on opiates. I have never taken a psychedelic.
I want to try half a tab, not to trip balls, but to ease myself into what to expect.
I live at home with my parents. I have my own room in the basement. 20 years old, male, with social anxiety disorder that is under control with Viibryd and has not flared up in years.
My concern is simple: what is my risk of roaming around the house? Will I likely be able to realize I am tripping and to not go upstairs, or will my judgement go out the window and I could end up anywhere?
no one comes in the basement and it is a safe environment. I just don't want to risk making a stupid decision and walking upstairs/outside/etc.
Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

Chances are on one tab you will be lucid enough to stay put. However, there is always that chance...
Maybe wait until your family is out of town or something? But honestly I wouldn't worry about it too much.

grab some movies and some headphones.
1 tab is going to be enough but not so much that you cant handle it. Just plan to be by yourself for a few hours till things mellow out.
I wouldnt recommend walking around if your parents are home, might send you into a bad trip if something goes bad, and you might not be able to communicate in a sober way.

Sleepwalker: Thanks.
BIGS: I have no intention of walking around. That is my question. Will I be lucid enough to know not to walk around?

You will be lucid enough to make good decisions and not walk around... Take the whole tab... You will be fine
Keep In mind, this is like 8 hrs you need be occupied... No one have expectations of you
But if you are going to be paranoid of your parents finding out, that could affect your experience... Might just wait till you are free from that concern...
Peace

If it's real acid IMO you need even more time, I wouldn't want to have to deal with real life/talking to authorities until at least the 10 hour mark, it's more like 14 hours before I have a completely normal headspace and would be safe to drive.

Authority figures suck on LSD. I had my landlord drop by once whilst tripping large, I had to leave. Parents are worse from what I remember. I also make bad decisions on LSD and have trouble reading moods or understanding what people are saying to me. And I like to go outside on it, hopefully you can still do that. IMO there are better places to trip than your parent basement while they are home. Its one of the last places I would want to trip.

Yeah - even when they're not your parents it is a bad trip.
I was at a mate's while on 6gs of shrooms. His mother stared giving life advice and I was too high to know what she was saying. Words meant nothing. Thankfully she just thought I was drunk. Fuck though, facing that wall covered in christmas lights and vines was tripping me out.
