I think this 'form of the good' can also be described by the word/idea/concept of 'icon', greek, εἰκών, eikōn. Plato did put it into the realms of the ideas.
Somehow it's like Kant's categorical imperative (ideal) and even fits with the 'iconization' of G*D, as well as with the icons on your screen.

(Darned, I searched the web for the connection about 'icon' and 'Plato' but didn't find it - hell :wtf:)

How about this word instead? There is a lot on it and Plato:  http://encyclopedia2.thefreedictionary.com/Eidos+(philosophy)

'I' do not like fighting, but then again, my psychology is not predominantly 'Adlerian' with its dominant motive of 'Superiority vs. Inferiority,' Success vs. Failure,' the Nietzschean "Will-to-Power." In an argument, if I realize I am wrong, I can concede - not failure - but my failure to understand my opponent's correctness. I can learn and change my position and in the process, harmony is established. The result IS humility, but NOT humiliation.

Some people are addicted to the feeling of superiority, even if they lie to win an argument. I used to know someone like this who wanted everyone to think he was a genius in all things. He said that LSD was made from the blood of schizophrenics. I told him that he was confusing Adrenochrome with LSD, and that I knew a bit about the production of LSD from ergot. He became angry and refused to admit that he was wrong, storming from the room.

Thanks Markos  I think that was it... but look at the semantic interwovenness of those both words.. icon and eidos.
I don't know about the greek language, but do you know if they are linguistically connected maybe ?

I never storm away, not even virtually. Here I am. I DO however become disgusted with certain personalities here, but that actually requires a certain amount of caring. Otherwise, I'd just relegate them to the Ignore list with the few haters and less-than-useless posters who deserve to be ignored IMO.

I don't know Greek, but I can read about as well as a 1st grader reads English, by sounding out letter at a time, and by recognition of some words. Grammar escapes me.

Icon - Greek εἰκών, eikōn "image"
Eidetic - Greek eidētikos, from eidos ‘'form.’'
