    #19224434 - 12/03/13 09:24 PM (10 years, 1 month ago)

Hey guys, I'm pretty new and just getting into shrooms. Just got 4g's of caps and was hoping someone could ID these. Thanks!

I'm thinking cubes - can you guys tell different? Sorry for the low quality

Those dont look like any cubes Ive grown.

Overall color on the cap and gills are wrong. No bluing to be seen anywhere. From my perspective they are not cubes.

Nor are they Paneaolus.

Well why don't you ask that source what species it is then? They don't look like actives to me, I advise against consumption.

Every now and again, someone gets a batch of shrooms that have been adulterated. Usually its in areas that dont have a reliable and legitimate source.

I used to think that it was a myth perpetuated by the D.A.R.E. program. But after reading a few other experiences, apparently it does happen.

For the price of cultivation, it seems like adulteration wouldn't be economical. But hell what do I know about RC's.

Here's a good example of what you should be looking at. These are dried cubensis. Notice that they look nothing like what you have.

I see the vegetation.
I dunno man.... I wouldn't mess with it. IF they were picked, they don't have features that a psilocybe has.

They are going to be hard to ID. If they are random mushrooms+an RC, you could potentially be consuming a toxic species and get sick.

Doubt its muscaria caps, definitely not psilocybe caps, pans nor gyms....

Or in any of a very wide array of cheap research chemicals. I'm not saying that's the case here, but it's entirely possible. Probably even perfectly legal...

Can you nibble test them? Bite a tiny piece, taste it, and spit it out. Are they bitter?

if your "trusted" source sold you on the words "medical" or "homegrown" shrooms you would have noone to blame for thinking their "active" besides yourself...
So now that you have found the shroomery best advice to you would be to grow your own cubensis if thats what your really wanting to possess.

Thanks for the help guys. Guess he's not so trusted hah. I bought LSD from him before and it was weak AF, took three hits and got almost no effects if not no effects at all. Figured it was a fluke though. Oh well, is it safe to ask for money back on a scam like this?

I would trust your own judgement on this one. If you are scared of this
person just leave it. Not worth being hurt over.

To the OP it is STRONGLY suggested that you spend a good amount of time researching any drug. Before you even think about buying from even a trusted source. Things to look for in your research. Know every way a drug can look. Know how to test that drug without putting yourself or others in harms way. Know your source or even your sources' source if you can. There is more I'm sure but my mind is a lil cloudy.

Yeah man I've actually spent several months researching shrooms, reading all about the effects, dosages, peoples' experiences, different species/genus's etc. I was pretty excited but looks like another let down

Yeah, it probably would've been a good idea to check out pictures of what they look like, too.

That sucks though. A lot of people don't know what real shrooms should look like, even if they're well-versed in other things. Around these parts, shrooms aren't very abundant creatures, especially considering they're not native. The way people feel about shrooms around here is about the way 5 year olds feel about ice cream. Can you blame them?

Yea. I know it's easy for us all to say go demand your money back and/or kick his ass, but in reality that could just cause more trouble for everyone involved.

Maybe put some water in his gas tank or something

If he sold you "LSD" which was bunk, how could you continue to call him a trusted source?
