I don't think Hossa is a locker room cancer; at least I never heard that since he got here. He was always a year off with his free agent moves to Detroit and Pittsburgh, but he broke that string when he went to Chicago. Two Cups and two other finals in that time span, with 3 consecutive finals. Has anybody done that since the Edmonton days? I don't know. Penguins and Devils had some runs. Claude Lemieux used to travel around and win everywhere, but the Montreal Cup was long before the other two. That dude would turn into a star for the playoffs after being more of just a hitter and antagonizer all season.

Since Hossa got to the Blackhawks it seems like it's a big drawback whenever he's injured. A lot of times when a big money guy plays one season for a team there's some bad feelings. It's not THE definitive source, but wikepedia thought he had a real good playoffs on Pittsburgh. I can't remember. In Chicago we always saw Detroit and seldom saw Pittsburgh, but it was the playoffs so I'm kicking my self for not remembering.

At any rate I think the Hawks can win this home game before they join the Bruins and Penguins watching the finals. LA is badass.

I hear Orpik  might be gone. Chicago could use a hitter but I don't know if its a money issue or a youth movement

Chicago stays alive with win in double overtime. It will be tough in LA Friday. Kings will be hot to clinch at home. At least Hawks didn't go down in a short series.

If they somehow pull out game 6 and make it back home, then it's on

Rangers really outplayed Montreal last night, allowed 18 shots. Don't know how the Canadians didn't bring more game after coming this far. Give NY credit.

The only way Hawks can win at LA tonight is if Corey Crawford stands on his head. That's too bad cause they probably win game 7 if they could  win game 6. LA is going to try to slow this down and Chicago will try to speed it up. No way LA wants another 10 goal game. You never know though. LA played all year defensively and now they're scoring.

Either way the NHL gets a perfect matchup for the finals, like last year.
The last 3 survivors are the 3 biggest TV markets.

LA and Chicago are a lot better than NY on paper, but in a 7 game series whoever wins is the best.

Blackhawks have won 12 in a row in games 5,6 or 7 over two years. They seldom play in a game 7.

LA has lost 3 in a row twice before this playoffs, but they didn't lose those series, so there's that.

If I played for LA my strategy would be to injure Patrick Kane. That's their best chance to win.

Last night Jonathon Quick and Corey Crawford got in each other's face at center ice at intermission. I haven't seen a good goalie fight lately.

It all rides on quick playing a solid 60 minutes and his team helping him out. If they do that they win.

Dude you are really butthurt.

My friend was telling me its pretty normal for hockey fans to cheer for the team that knocks them out, evidently that is not the case with you.
Im cheering for the rangers because i saw him live and die with that team all year and get made fun of endlessly for saying they were going to win it all. Fans like that deserve it.

Not really, I don't care who wins. I don't cheer for any team but my own, so all those other people are weird if you ask me.

Quick as an athlete is hard to respect, he constantly whines and cheats.

Quick has a very good last name. It usually fits him. Besides making the saves he's wickedly good at moving from one side of the net to the other.

I won't deny that, he lives up to his name for sure.

I'll cheer for any team in the finals really. Having a favorite makes it more fun.

Congratulations to the LA Kings. Another overtime game. They were the first team to go to the finals playing 21 games.

The entire playoffs set a record for 7 game 7s.
