Yeah tumbling / mixing coins only works if other people have similar amounts to mix with.

To be fair, as long as the feedback is coming in positive it's fairly safe to use. They got like 60m from SMP, but there was likely that much going around in a week, they can only rob ya once, so in total they stole maybe a couple % of the money that had changed hands on the site during its history. I think a ~3-5% ripoff chance is worth the savings and convenience

they could always rob you once and set up a better marketplace to rob you again. a whole international group of supervillains could band together and use what they now have to go legitimate longer, throw off the fools a little longer, and continue the piracy until the death.

even if that's how things go, they'll only be snatching up maybe 2% of the cash. the other 98% will fund successful illegal business transactions.

Between $100 and $300 seems like the most stable price, possibly even as high as $500. This bubble that is currently taking hold is nowhere near sustainable.

^ Hah! bitcoins will go up considerably. I predict it will hit 3000 by sometime next year, maybe a lot sooner and a lot higher.

Some of us have been saying that since the beginning.
But of course, that's why they call them "sheep." You know how sheep are:

Who cares about Sheep, SR has been back up and running for a month already almost. Plus many people don't realize that vendors use USD to denote their product prices, which adjusts back to BTC. Most products on SR are now 0.01-0.9 BTC. It adjusts itself.

"Many people"? You can have the listings changed to USD in the settings section of both SR AND BMR AND numerous other marketplaces. It's nothing out of the ordinary, it's just a standard feature.
SR has a quarter of the listings that SMP had. I'm sure it'll grow over time, but there's unfortunately less vendors to choose from.

There is other marketplaces, you don't have to just use one. SMP had a lot of shit, but it was run by people that never gave a shit about the site. Scams galore, people with issues since day 1 about getting coins to their wallets, and it was the biggest marketplace which made it a bigger target. I was rooting for BMR til they fucked it up by trying to use a VPS and that's when SMP took the lions share. I think SR 2.0 has potential, I honestly think their admin actually gives a fuck.

Could already be dead, definitely rooting for some cartel or another to buck his ass but we probably won't find out about it

I'm NOT talking about that. I'm talking about CHANGING the price of their listings FROM 1 BTC for example to 0.1 BTC.
The reason for this is because they use USD to denote their prices, nothing to do with the viewing format in USD/BTC/EUR, it's because, say, their product costs 500$, which WAS about 1BTC. Now the same product is selling for 0.5BTC, which is still 500$.
Do you understand?

Oh I see. I'm not saying it's not worthwhile, I just wish they had more vendors. I think BMR had more than them too...
