Uncle Meat. Don't skip a second. Not even the dumb monologues or the stuff that sounds like someone throwing a toy box down a flight of inflatable stairs. I'm only in it for the Doo Wop.

I paid four bucks Canadian to see two and a half hours of some of the tightest, most intricate, gnarliest, crystalline clear (awesome sound technicians) music played by some of the true giants in the field. As an old Woodstock era fart I've seen almost all of the very best rock bands who ever toured in the late Sixties to the mid- Seventies, and that Zappa concert was for sure among the top ten.

I fuckin love Zappa.
Grew up listening to his earlier stuff with The Mothers of Invention.
Check out Absolutely Free, probably my favorite album of his.
the song "Brown Shoes Don't Make It" is my favorite from that album
Here's some later Zappa, Titties and Beer live from '77. Terry Bozzio is a sick drummer.

Sheik Yerbouti is a powerhouse of an album. One of the best. But there's lots of stuff on there about fisting and S&M, just FYI.
Some really entertaining albums that haven't been mentioned: We're only in it for the Money (look for the original and the 80's mixes) Lumpy Gravy The first three albums really.
Studio Tan The Man from Utopia You Are What You Is One Size Fits All Weasels Ripped my Flesh
Laether is a good collection
The Baby Snakes movie is a must watch.
Hot Rats sucks and so does the OP for just downloading the whole discography or whatever. I'm sure you'll crap out soon enough and never come to know or appreciate any of this music/chunk of data sitting on a hard drive.

in what world does Hot Rats suck?
WTF, is wrong with you people? Hot Rats is awesome. it has Peaches en Regalia, cool violin parts and wicked production.
basically all of Zappa's work is awesome. it's funny when i see people nitpicking, because honestly, to do what Frank Zappa has done... you have to take chances and do things that not everyone is gonna like... some of you guys fall in the category of "not everyone"; which makes me sad.
i'd love to hear the rationale between people on why one album or another is worse of then one album or another,... seriously, i'd just love it.

I didn't say Hot Rats sucked, I just like the listed albums a lot more. I've also heard quite a few versions of Peaches.

If you like Chicago or any of those other 70s fusion bands I'd highly recommend Hot Rats.
This track has pretty nice guitar faffing in it.
