My Cavs even beat the Bulls getting a 20 point, 12 rebound, 5 block game from Bynum
Glad to see the Jazz aren't tanking the season for a lottery pick. Gotta respect that.
Also, looks like Bynum figured out he can't just sit on the bench for seasons on end and collect checks. He's playing again like the player he's always been when he wasn't injured. Good for him.
I haven't mentioned anything about D.Rose since I started the NBA thread this season. He's so young and keeps blowing out his knees because he's too reckless. It's a similar situation to what happened down here with D.Wade. Wade has been reckless since Marquette which is amazing to watch until injuries happen.
I'm sad to say that Wade doesn't have much in him. He looks really good still on certain nights, but nothing like when he was in his mid 20's...Pretty sure he'll retire here in Miami in a couple years with his dignity. Or at least I hope he does.

The lottery is real funky though. A lot of times the worst teams get screwed in it. Bulls had %1.7 chance when they got rose. One of the Florida teams got #1 with %1.5 chance.
But if anybody wants to trade a lottery pick for rose we be listening.

no one wants rose
Jazz have Trey Burke so were set at PG for awhile. Im pretty sure we are going to lose Hayward so we may as well try and trade him, when he was talking after the game they asked about the pacers and his eyes lit up so hard, he kinda made a dig into burke. Just looked like a complete twat, we may as well try and get something out of him.
if you finish in the bottom three you are guaranteed a top 3 pick or some shit. I dont think you could go wrong with a top 3 pick in this draft no matter how hard you try.

Any team in the lottery can get one of the top 3 picks, its just weighted so the worst team has a %25 chance for the top pick. The Bulls had a %1.7 chance when they got the first pick for Rose. Only the top 3 picks are chosen by the lottery. Then the guarantees work in. If the worst team didn't win a lottery pick, they get the 4th pick. If the second worst team didn't win a lottery pick, they get the 5th pick etc.
Wiggins, Randle and Parker are the 3 everyone is talking about now. It's probable they go to the bad teams, but they might go to teams that missed the playoffs on the last game of the season.
After the first round the lottery doesn't count and it's inverse of winning percentage.

It's clever and fun how the NBA does it. I don't think it would work for any other sport though.

That may jsut be the gayest sentence ive ever read on the shroomery
No matter how screwed up the lottery is there is no way the jazz are making the playoffs so it would be better for them to just tank, thats all im saying.

Damian Lillard. I saw his salary listed at 3.2 mill. That's like 2 m under the NBA average. I'm not sure what 'for real' means though?

Hey the Jazz were keeping up with the Pacers really well until about halfway through the 3rd. For a team with not much talent, they aren't half bad. Defend your team damnit! lol
I see Indiana facing off against the Heat in the ECF's, and they got a good damn chance of winning.
I'm really surprised at how well Michael Beasly is playing for the Heat this year. When we first drafted him, he was decent if not just below average for a highly drafted rookie. Now that we got him back on our team few years later, he is balling.
Someone mentioned something about the Blazers. I haven't watched them play a full game but from the highlights I've seen and what I've read about them so far this season, they are looking legit.

Yup.
Still way early but the Pacers seem unstoppable. Jazz actually have a lot of talent its just so raw. Favors, burke and hayward could all be top players in the league if they develop right.
Hayward could actually be an all-star this season if he has consistent production around him. When its just him versus the other team it doesn’t end up so well for him or the jazz

Agree, the jazz need another consistent scorer to take some of the load off Hayward. When all the other team has to do on defense is mostly focus on Hayward its an easy win but put somebody on the other side who can shoot, it would make Hayward better and the team as a whole. Still wish now more than ever we would have took Paul George instead of GH though.
Trey(3)Burke is coming along alot better than i had hoped he is playing with confidence and it shows. He needs to be more like a point guard though and dish out some fucking assists he avg's more rebounds than assists at the moment hopefully this will change over time.

Dude Trey Burke is just a scrappy, hustling ass, motherfucker.
Kind of player the old jazz used to love. Gotta admit I’m not a fan of this TB3 bullshit. I still think jazz nation wishes we drafted CP3 instead of Dwill and thats how they relieve it
I like hayward we are most likely going to lose him though. Paul George showed he’s willing to play for a small team, i think hayward wants some glitz and glam, in LA or Boston. We should be able to get a stud to replace him in the draft anyway
Favors is playing like a G, Seems like kanter is kinda odd man out this year, again.

What do you mean? He was sick or something last night. Spent the night in his hotel room up in Chicago. They fucking torched us. I haven't seen the Heat Play that badly in a couple years.
As far as wade goes, he's a free agent at the end of this season. They've already talked about how if he re-signs he would have to take a very big pay cut from his 20 million a year. I'm sure he'll take the pay cut if LeBron stays.
If James leaves, Wade will probably ask to be traded somewhere where he can earn 20 million a year or take the pay cut to sign with whatever team James decided to go to. I'm 99% sure that Wade and LBJ are sticking together where ever it is they are at next year.
It's really a shitty situation for me having been a true Heat fan for all these years, watching Wade carry the Heat on his shoulders for so many years. Now he's just a 30 year old, injury prone SG. He still shows signs of greatness on certain nights, but those nights are becoming fewer and far between. He's definitely fallen off of my list of top 5 SG's in the NBA.
