Normal to cry?
    #19218215 - 12/02/13 04:59 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

At one point in my trip yesterday I was sitting on a bench at the beach, in short I was watching the ocean and everything dance to the beat of my music and started to cry at the sheer beauty and bliss.

It's the next day after the trip, and I just looked out into the water from the view of my house and started to cry even more than during the trip. Feels good by all means  and I take this as a good thing, but does anyone else do this?

I'm not a person that goes down to the beach that often especially in the area that I live, but I will forever revisit that spot from now on.

Anyone else revisit the memories of previous trips and just start shedding a few tears to how beautiful it all was?

So many LSD trips I've had my eyes start water profusely at the sheer euphoria and amazing OEVS seeing sounds in the sky, seeing stars dance and trees comes to life but my breathing is regular and all that. I remember my buddy being like "you alright bro" and I said "yeah my eyes are just getting watery from flying through hyperspace" :mindblown:

Crying, due to the sheer beauty of the experience - it really doesn't get any better than that

I've shed some tears on previous trips, but not when revisiting memories of them.

I'd love to see the ocean whilst tripping!

I did! And it wasn't even on mushrooms, oddly enough. I took 2 and a half hits of 25i once in the forest surrounding the beautiful art museum Crystal Bridges. Me and some friends were sitting in this pavilion thing with great architecture, and as I sat there I broke into tears. The sun was setting and shining through the trees. The weather was absolutely
perfect. This was one of the best feelings of my entire life. I had never cried before because of happiness and beauty. It was amazing.

If you haven't cried you haven't tripped.

Yeah after 6 grams of shrooms and a fuck load of weed (I smoked the better half of a quarter that day) I was with my mate Goofy in the park and we'd just smoked a couple bowls.  He was super drunk, I was tripping hard.  He looked at me and was like, "Yo, check out the stars man."  So I'm laying there looking at the sky, and there stars were all out and I could see the lines making the constellations, and it then became this cosmic grid.  These little red lines billions of miles long connecting all the stars.  My eyes watered right up from it.

Hour or 2 later (fuck probably only 15 minutes later) I was looking at these bushes, and I could see lights shining through like Christmas lights, even though it was September...  Eyes watered right up again.  Can't wait till my next trip.

I kind of agree. Most of the trippers that are in it for visuals and stuff seem to mock things that happen like this when you trip.  I was explaining to a friend of a friend this cosmic revelation I had and how beautiful it felt even bringing me to tears and he just straight up mocked it later in front of some friends. he's tripped before too so i felt pretty offended.  everyone has to experience moments like what OP described.  It's what makes tripping worth it

That's normal as shit on a mind-altering substance. My best friend cried after he had an epiphany his first time on mushrooms.

It means you're appreciating the beauty of the universe, good work.
:manofapproval:

During my first trip, on 3.5g, the way the sun shone through the clouds make me burst into tears at the sheer beauty. I took it as a symbol that my perception was reborn, and I never was the same since that day!:mushroomgrow:

I think i cried for a solid ten minutes straight during my second ayahuasca ceremony. Well, actually during both of them... But the first one was because i thought my brain exploded. But the second time I was overcome by a massive realization of internal strength and it just ripped apart all the negative BS i feed myself on a daily basis and purged it all right out my eyeballs

My friend cried once while on acid, but it wasn't a beauty cry. For some reason, my other tripping friend started playing the trailer for The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, and it just got to my friend hahaha. It was all good after that though.

"If you haven't cried you haven't tripped."

That is profound and mostly true! I like that...

Crying serves many purposes in the body.... On psychedelics, it's a good thing... Release... In touch with true emotion... Expression of joy... Freedom... Can be over whelming...

And the next day... Hard not to feel some of that again

Good thread...

To be straight honest, i get flashbacks from time to time of memories that have me tearing up and in some cases straight up bawling sober because of certain trips
