I think we are going to see a lot more of this in the future. Gone are the days of tried and true marketplaces that weather the storm for 3-4 years like SR.
It could be but lets not jump to conclusions, in either case it will be a few years before a new marketplace trustworthy. I hope the market develops without any monopolies this time, SR was just too big IMO

True True. I don't think not having a monopoly is really possible though, unless everyone gets together and agrees on it . Maybe what they need is one big SR type site that is just run by a bunch of bots to make it look like everyone uses it and then have one or two real sites operating on the down low in the background.

Synthe said: I was actually more confidant it was legit BECAUSE it was named "Sheep Marketplace", because I thought "How ballsy or stupid would they have to be to name a scam service something that implies its own downfall?" I guess they really were that vallsy. Well, stupid. I bet he'll get caught.. or hunted down.
I highly doubt it was a scam from the getgo. Put yourself in that guys shoes; SR gets shutdown by the feds, fast forward a few months- Bitcoin appears to be plateauing at ~$1000. He knows if he keeps the site going he will inevitably get busted, so he decides "Hey $40 mil is enough to live on" and bam he makes for the door.
The guy running BMR is essentially doing the same thing, but he's obviously doing it in a much more graceful manner and not being a complete greedy asshole. The SR bust created a giant vacuum, vacuum gets filled, the sites that took over make a pretty penny filling the gap for a few months and then they either shut down or take everyone's money, makes sense I think we are going to see a lot more of this in the future. Gone are the days of tried and true marketplaces that weather the storm for 3-4 years like SR.
BMR has been around for over a year, and its coming back in a couple months.
