Gas exchange during incubation

I know this is a widely covered topic and I have searched and gone through countless threads however all of these threads are between 7 and 12 years old and even then almost everyone is split 50-50 on the issue.
SO, what is the best way to ensure my cakes are receiving enough oxygen and removing CO2 during incubation while maintaining sterility? The main ideas that seemed to come up were removing the tape over the inoculation holes and unscrewing the lids slightly. I already have the inner lid thing rubber side up (As RR recommends in the videos) and each of the tape points has a small hole from the needle, would that be enough or should I do one of the other methods?
Thanks in advance for anyone that replies, peace

As long as you arent suffocating the jars with a garbage bag they will take care of GE for you. Personally i would recommend a tub in tub incubator.
EDIT: sorry didnt read properly. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/11487687

You can limit the age of threads you search for to two years or less. Have a read through the first thread in my signature
If you make your cakes like the video says they get gas exchange through the 4 inoculation holes you made. They don't need "micropore" tape over the top of them after you inoculate to stay sterile the verm barrier does that for you just don't handle your jars and jostle the dry verm barrier around letting contams work their way to your BRF mix. Micropore tape allows for Gas exchange so over the top of your holes doesn't hurt anything
