If people stop buying drugs online the value of BTC will go in the toilet. Its not a practical currency, if it wasn't for illict purchases it would still be worthless.

Same, its only going to get bigger and harder to track for the feds. This was a harsh few weeks but personally I'm confident things will piece back together, breaking the SR monopoly be a good thing

It's value actually went up massively once several Chinese companies started accepting it. That is in fact where most of values seems to be coming from.

It went from almost nothing to worth over $100 a BTC before that happened. Most of the increase in value was before the Chinese got interested in it. I would say them seeing potential in it isn't a good thing either.

I bought some BTC off WellsFargo last week, not sure how much they're buying in but if the banks decide to go balls deep then it'll probably skyrocket.

Ah I see! The parallels between the fucking Sun and the BTC are clear.

I think its the only marketplace with any type of vision with BMR going on vacation. I still think more people should have seen sheep coming. The owner didn't give a shit and it showed.

I was actually more confidant it was legit BECAUSE it was named "Sheep Marketplace", because I thought "How ballsy or stupid would they have to be to name a scam service something that implies its own downfall?" I guess they really were that vallsy. Well, stupid. I bet he'll get caught.. or hunted down.

I highly doubt it was a scam from the getgo. Put yourself in that guys shoes; SR gets shutdown by the feds, fast forward a few months- Bitcoin appears to be plateauing at ~$1000. He knows if he keeps the site going he will inevitably get busted, so he decides "Hey $40 mil is enough to live on" and bam he makes for the door.
The guy running BMR is essentially doing the same thing, but he's obviously doing it in a much more graceful manner and not being a complete greedy asshole. The SR bust created a giant vacuum, vacuum gets filled, the sites that took over make a pretty penny filling the gap for a few months and then they either shut down or take everyone's money, makes sense I think we are going to see a lot more of this in the future. Gone are the days of tried and true marketplaces that weather the storm for 3-4 years like SR.

Bullshit, I believe in the counter-culture. Plus If people made SR in the beginning, then some greedy nerd will come along and fill that void better then DPR ever did, and keep himself safe. Its a matter of time. The idea is just too good.
