spacing cakes in sgfc? (pics included)

hey everyone, so i inoculated my 24 brf cakes 13 days ago and everything is going great! no signs of contam and i see healthy mycelium in every jar. Heres a few pics

So hopefuly i will be ready to fruit in not too long! my only dilema is will my cakes have enough space between each other in my sgfc? I put some of the jars in to see what i was working with and i would have to line them up 6x4, heres a pic of how they would be spaced

of course the rest of the room will be filled with cakes (24 of them) i just wanted to minimize how many cakes i was moving around and handling (and i know i still need to put holes in the bottom and top of my sgfc).
What do you all think? do you think there will be enough space between them? I have read in a few places that some people stack their cakes? Going out and buying another tub wouldnt be a huge issue, though wouldnt be ideal unless it is neccessary.

It will be fine. Just make sure you made your sgfc properly. Holes on all six sides. Sgfc elevated, 4-5" of perlite, mist and fan about 2-3 times a day. Here is a link to mine: My sgfc

yup just gotta drill holes in the top and bottom (drill battery died the other day when i was doing the sides). but perfect. just wanted to make sure this cramped space wouldnt reduce the cakes potential

See it like that: You'll have such a humid environment that you won't need much spraying.

what are you people been smoking? to the OP no, you can accommodate 12-15 cakes on that tub, they need at least one inch separation among each other, that's a 66 qt tub right? if so 12 would be ideal

here is my current grow(pics from yesterday)
66 tub SGFC with 12 half pints plus a little bigger "bowl" cake, 13 and they are kinda bumping each other, and these are pins

just build 2 sgfc, give your little guys a nice house and they will be good to you, don't cramp them against each other man

You can put 24 in there just make sure you fan it out more often. Don't worry. If you want you can build one more sgfc but i don't think it is necessary.

No, he can't put 24 in there. 12 max and that's pushing it.
You have to allow room for the mushrooms to grow. RR

I am pretty sure it can be done with a shelf involved:D Maybe it is not the standard but with some modification you can get bit more out of it. I just don't like wasted space

You can double-stack the cakes. Put a layer of wet vermiculite in between them when you do this.

You have plenty of height in your fruiting chamber. You could double stack them and then you can just go 3 x 4.
Edit: sorry didn't see the previous post ^^^^^^^^^^^^ already saying this http://www.shroomery.org/forums/images/icons/blush.gif

yeah i was thinking the same thing. might as well just pay the extra 20 bucks for a new tub and all the other stuff il need. in the end it will be worth it
