The very first batch of lc I mixed up using 1 tablespoon each of light malt extract and dextrose came out of the pc with extreme amounts of sediments I noc'd it up anyway but didn't have any luck. The second round I weighed 2grams of lme with 1/2 a gram of dextrose and it worked perfect, it was almost clear with no sediments and was ready to use within a week.

There is no reliable way to figure out of an LC is good or not without using it on a test jar. One of the reasons I don't really recommend it since you have to waste so much as opposed to Agar.
