But how long after they were at 100% did you let them sit and consolidate? Brf is super nutritious and the mycelium needs time to digest its meal.
If you birthed them right at 100% you can automatically expect it to take at least 2 weeks for pins to appear while the cakes finish the consolidation. The reason we don't birth them at 100% is so they don't end up drying out while they do this.

Speaking of isolating Pasty...I'm getting some decent looking cakes for cloning from a MS (ropey, rhizomorphic, dikaryotic, beautiful fruits, etc). Tried printing twice and failed (No print appeared, lol). In theory I should be successful with a tissue transfer or agar slant, and then I want to move back/up to grains again. Any ideas? I feel like I already typed this and you have a tek in yer piece. Trippin!

They always allow 6-10 days consolidation time after the visible substrate is covered completely; I call that 90% if that makes sense?

As was mentioned, stop running a fan in the same room as the SGFC. This affects your RH in a bad way.

ZLeiterman said: Sorry guys more details then. Yes it's a SGFC maybe 20 qt capacity? I can fit 8 cakes comfortably atop 6 inches perlite. been using a fan to dry fruits in the same room as growing, when i do my 4-6 FAE's each day, I just hold the fan over the terrarium or set it on top to blow air down for 30 seconds or so. I mist 3 times a day every 6-8 hours or so. Thanks y'all, whaddya think?
I can't count the number of times I've posted that you should NEVER run a fan in the same room as a shotgun terrarium.
Search amazon.de for a fischer hair hygrometer and order one. They're about the only thing that is dependable. RR
