Safe to spawn two-month old jars?
    #19213108 - 12/01/13 02:45 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

About two months ago I did a g2g, and put 9 jars in a fridge at the coldest setting when they were finished colonizing. Should they still be good to spawn?

They look much whiter in person, pretty much the same the day I put them in

Btw no need for coldest setting. 45 to 50 degrees f is ideal for culture storage

I have the same issue right now.  I'm wondering if a prolonged dunking of the grains would be a good thing to try.  Anybody have experience with this?  Since I normally dunk the grains for 10-15 minutes prior to spawning, would 30-45 be better with spawn that has been colonizing a long time, like 2 months after 100% colonization?
