i actually enjoy it but then again i'm not a rap fan in general so maybe thats why. I just get a really old school beastie boys vibe from it.

i wouldn't stereotype the whole genre like that.
check this song out. Its really awesome and more like poetry than anything else. Read the lyrics in the description.

Machine Gun Kelly
He's one of the best rappers out right now...
He grew up like 30 mins from where I live.
I just really like his music, his fans are completely crazy, and he's always so hyped.

The problem with tap is that there is rarely any instruments and the rappers never play any. I mean maybe it could be considered poetry with a drone accompaniment?

its called hip hop
rap is akin to an instrument.
hip hop is the genre
guitar music doesnt make much sense
as much sense as rap music makes.
rap is a tool used most often in hip hop music.

There are plenty of good white rappers out there. Eminem's legacy is only as good as you make of it. I'm not really into his stuff (though it can be catchy), but there are other white rappers I enjoy, however their styles are completely different.

A lot draws on instrumental samples from classic funk and R&B type shit. More live instrumentals wold be cool though.
