The Utah Pioneers wouldn't have been so bad.

oh god no, kill me now
then ild have to be a nuggets fan...... Im pulling for them this year anyway but they aren’t doing to much better than the jazz. I can’t even decide who to bandwagon. Definitely want a western team, and its either LAC or OKC i could even do Dallas. I can’t believe Portland is doing so good this year.

I've always liked the nuggets sucks they couldn't put good players around Carmelo.

I literally haven't seen a basketball game this year. Didn't even know it had started.

Two geriatric Celtics. Hawk fans were over joyed to get rid of Joe Johnson- lazy fucking overpaid piece of shit, and faggot-ass my way or the highway coach killer D Will and the head coach himself. A man with no coaching experience himself: Jason Kidd.

Really it's not. Miami has been slaughtered by several throughout history.

Does anyone else think a season should have less games and hopefully less injuries?

I like the playoffs as they are but 82 regular season games is too many. At this point though, so many people depend on the whole season for so many different reasons it's really pretty much impossible to change. I remember an interview with Stern where he was discussing it and I really had to admit I agreed with him. It could really be reduced to 50 or less from a fan's perspective but too many unknowns would suffer. And there's contracts with the cities and all kind of shit. The lock out year when they started on Xmas. That's how I wish it was every year. But it can't be.

You know I was just thinking about that right after I posted. I mean, we get fucked up by a hurricane down here once every 10-15 years or so. Andrew was the only one that really leveled Miami tho which was 1992. I believe we got our name in 1938 or so...
Anyways,

I liked the shortened 66 game season 2 years ago, but as far as injuries go, it was just as bad because the players are out there almost every night. With the 82 game season, at least they get more rest.
Edit: Oh I just saw what you said SunRa. Yup less games. December through June is long enough. Or even February through August so there would be no waiting time between Basketball and Football.

What about the Nuclear Wastes. I know waste doesn't sound so good in several different connotations, but the Nukes would be a good nickname.

I agree completely. I am more of a hockey fan, but the situation is identical. 82 game season and then a long set of playoff series with four rounds. The only difference in hockey is more surprises in the playoffs. The top team often gets eliminated quickly. 82 regular season games is too much, and the only reason for it is money. Last year when they played about 50 games after the lockout was perfect. But the money is important to so many people. Everybody talks about the money for the teams and the players and the concessions workers and the parking lots, and the nearby bars and restaurants, but when a city goes crazy for their team the economic impact reaches much farther. Bars that are 40 miles from the arena double their business on a game night. This does not really happen with baseball because they play 162 games and they're on every night. Personally I would like less games, and for hockey and basketball, and maybe baseball, I would prefer less teams. There are too many teams in marginal markets that can't attract enough fans, and generally can not compete. The leagues try to level the playing field with lotteries and worst picks first draft systems but it usually doesn't work. These teams can't afford to pay this talent for long, and they end up going to the big teams. Even in the super popular NFL a lot of smaller market teams have to blackout TV coverage because they can't sell their tickets.
