I found these today in western Pennsylvania, most likely on a fallen hemlock tree.
I'm taking a spore print right now, but does anyone have any thoughts?
Thank you!

Yes, there does appear to be some bluish bruising. The cluster was frozen, and it's still in the process of thawing.
Here is another picture.

It seems the spore color looks purple brown to me but colors are sometimes deceptive to me on my screen.

My initial thought is Pholiota or Kuehneromyces sp.

Spore print is purplish brown, so most likely Hypholoma sublateritium.
Thanks everyone!

I cant find a source which list H. sublateritium growing on conifer wood. Can you give me a Reference please. This is a common species I find regularly always growing on hardwoods. Maple, Oaks. American Beech I have yet to encounter it on any Conifers. I have found H.capnoides on Eastern hemlock and live in the same neck of the woods. here is a link. http://www.mushroomexpert.com/hypholoma_capnoides.html

I frequently see H. capnoides and sometimes H. laterium/sublaterium on conifer. We get lots of conifer out here, but not many. Mostly it occurs in the east coast of the USA on Hardwoods, though i think its specific substrate is "Wood" haha

OP wasn''t emphatic on whether it was hemlock and there's a lot of hardwood leaves laying around. Can you tell from the bark in the op?
