Ah. Please produce the evidence for this. You see, it's so well known that the only thing I know about it is that those programs were all aborted due to them yielding fuck all.
MK Ultra for one. Maaan the US has TOTALLY looked into remote viewing.

You're asking people who in general tend to be novelty-seeking since they do illegal drugs. I would predict the majority of poll-responders would tentatively agree given at least a semi-decent chance of returning safely.
On that note, if I could take my girlfriend, and there were ample dr00gz supplied on board, HELL YES.

Say they will give me a lifetime supply of droogs, I would probably be tempted at least.
There are still no laws in space, right? At least nobody to enforce them. Would be halarious smoking crack on sat-cam, bugging out from stimulants and isolation, making mission control be like "junkies in space was a bad idea, we should'a thought this out better"

don't you think on a distant alien planet, alone, with a clear view of the universe, it would be a bit mindblowing in its own right?
or are you that ruined by acid and bud.
it needs mescaline to make things right....
Yes Mars would be very amazing but so is the grand canyon and I had pot brownies with me when I went which made it even more amazing.I could name alot more places but basically I really think i would miss the diversity of beaches, mountains, deserts and even cities. Also I CANNOT imagine a life with no bud or acid available.Especially bud because it helps my I.B.S when nothing else can
NOTE: Bud and Mescaline would be a TOTALLY acceptable alternative or mushies

I can't believe so many here wouldn't jump at the chance of being one of the most important explorers of all time. You would be experiencing something no other person ever has. You guys must really not care or think your lives are really special. I would do it even if the chance of survival was small. I mean shit, going to Mars would make you like Magellan or Vasco da Gama or Columbus. Fuck, if people are still around a million years from now Armstrong will still be in the books for first on the moon. All I'm doing is working my shit job, getting older, with a few hobbies mixed in. Fuck yeah, I would go to Mars. It would be so much cooler than this shit I'm doing now. And I don't think many of you are doing anything better. This shit like 'Will they have acid on Mars?' WTF? Drugs are great if you're just a typical mediocre fuck but going to Mars would make you an historical figure in space exploration. Goddamn.

I've thought about this so many times if I should sign up or not.. I'm at a definite no though.
One reason.. No magnetic fields.
The geo-magnetic field that the earth provides for us has a great impact on our living capabilities that no body is barely aware of. I have to find the link for this but.. Some years ago, Nasa sent up a guy in one of the space stations. As the space station began to get into a weakened part of the magnetic field, the guy that was up their went crazy and lost his memory. So Nasa brought him down and tried to figure out the problem. So they sent another guy up there and he went crazy and lost his memory as well in the same area the first guy did. Nasa finally ruled it out to be from the weakened area of the magnetic field in space.
So if you want to travel to Mars and begin colonizing it, good luck because you'll never make it without that magnetic field. Unless Nasa packs along a massive super conducting magnet that our bodies accept as real, then your good.
Since mars has no magnetic field.. Good luck with the solar storms as well because that magnetic field protects all the high energy particles from those storms that will fry you in a blink of an eye.
The suns been acting up with solar storms that we've never seen before lately as well.
So no, I am not going to mars because theirs basically no chance at surviving. I would damn effing love too though.

Yeah that kind of fame would be shitty anyway probably, assuming you made it back. You'd be endlessly hounded by snot-nosed conspiracy theorists to admit it was all a hoax.

Yeah how similar do you think "Christopher Columbus" was to how we percieve him. We already know that so much of what we've learned about historical figures is wrong.
People like to think they're inseperable from their legacy, and they maybe are in some extent, but I'd rather have a fufilling life than strive to please others only to become a loose set of character traits completely under the control of historians, politicians, and comedians.

I don't know. But I know interacting with the Taino was cooler than whatever I'm up to.

Yeah, I'm not contested that they started them. I was asking Ellis Dee to produce evidence that those programs actually delivered results. You know, that's what 'aborted' means: started, and then prematurely stopped.
