Recent out-grow experience

I ordered 12 bags from out-grow a month ago and 11 of them were greatly contaminated within the first couple days of inoculation. I contacted out-grow and they gave me another 6 bags no questions asked. The 6 bags came last night. A few hours ago I opened the box to find this right before inoculation:

All six bags were filled with burst milo. I was glad to hear that he would give me a partial reship after the first set of bags but now I dont feel too great. I know accidents happen and I brushed it off the first time, though now I have lost some hope.
If you are considering buying from out-grow I would recommend their pasteurized substrate mixes as I have always had tremendous success with them. But for now I would hold out on the grain.

I recently tried one of these bags from outgrow and its colonizing great ive never had a problem with any of there products except a bag that i accidently poked a hole in and didnt notice til ot was too late so thats my own fault.. maybe you just need to work on your sterile techniqe as ive had great expirience with em and everyone else seems to have also

Dont get me wrong, I have had great experiences with out-grow. My procedure for the inoculation of the first 12 bags was very sterile compared to other successful trials with out-grow bags. I inoculated these bags using 3 separate spore syringes from very reputable vendors, so there is no reason for cross contamination between syringes. These were clean syringes from clean vendors and I inoculated in a clean environment. I wore gloves, clean clothes, freshly showered, etc. I was just irked by the fact that 11 out of 12 had bacterial contamination. I can deal with a botched batch. After some discussion in mush cult it has to my attention that burst grain does not lead to increased risk of contamination. I have never encountered burst grain before so i consulted the search engine and some old threads led me to believe that burst grains lead to contaminants. I inoculated the bags anyway and well see what happens.

My technique is fine. We'll see what happens with the new batch. I inoculated in a glove box inside of a sterile, unused 4x4 grow tent. I have used out-grow bags 3-4 times in the past with no contam.

Mike has taken care of everything and has been more than generous in dealing with this situation. I will not hesitate to order to order again in the future. Out-grow = customer service.
