If those white patches are trich then I would guess they should have sporulated by now.
On that note, good job and keep it up, looks like you have a healthy tub.

It could have indeed yielded more. I wish it did but it's not all that bad of a yield considering the tub is a mini. The tub is half the size of the standard monotub. It only takes 8qts of Substrate and spawn to fill it to the 4 inch mark. This particular tub was spawn using a 1 to 7 ratio.

Me to, but it hasn't turned green yet. My fingers are crossed for a second flush. And even if it is trich I have another tub colonizing right now and I have spawn for another tub that I am about to dump.

Best way to battle trich right there.

I'm going to start a golden teacher tub tomorrow. I will post a picture of how this tub is doing then.

Mycelium layering for second flush (I hope) [Re: Willy Wonka]

The tub still has no sign og the mean green. The white growth in the tub is starting to look more and more like mycelium. I am still worried that I might be trichoderma but I am starting to gave a little bit of hope for the tub. Here it is as of 11-29-13.

Definitely looks like a contam mycelium and probably is the reason for your lackluster first flush. Keep an eye on it, looks like it wants to change at a moments notice.

Well I am so happy to say that I really don't think it was trich as I welcome in the 2nd flush.
By the way I added an oil heater (the radiator looking kind) to the room. The heater is sitting directly under the metal desk which the tub is on and it keeps the bottom of the the table a nice 86f The tub is starting to look good

Here is another African Transkei tub that I have colonizing. I spawned this tub on 11-18-13. It was 3 quart jars of colonized wheat berries to 5 quarts of a horse manure, verm, gypsum substrate. The substrate was pasteurized in quart jars at 160f for 1 hour and then the jars were immediately removed from the pasteurization pot after the hour.

Stuff seems to have taken off leaps and bounds since I added heat to the set up, go figure. Plus since I added the heat if it was trich I think the warmer temperatures would have caused the trich to turn green.
