Tons of bottom and side pins with a liner...

My last 3 tubs now have been nothing but side and bottom fruits. Same tubs, same trash bag liners, same isolate, same room...the only difference I can think of is it started happening around the same time autumn arrived, and I recently started making my substrate a little drier.
I used to get a small stream of water from my fist when I squeezed, now I only get a couple drops. I don't know why I decided to make it drier, I never had any problems when it was wetter I guess just reading stuff here made me paranoid. The temp and humidity in the room has changed a little since autumn arrived, but not enough in my opinion to cause this.
Any recommendations? I'm about to stop using the liners since they don't seem to be helping anymore.

I would go back to a wetter substrate if you saw better results. side pins happen sometimes.

I wouldn't use liners.
the higher humidity is making it side pin.

Lots is dependent on how you apply the liner. I had problems when I tried to wrap the liner around the base, then cut it down and place it in preformed so to speak. The liner would not stick to the sub as well as it shrunk.
Another thing I found is that liners don't work as well if you open the bag and cut it down leaving only one layer of plastic. Sometimes parts of the bag wanted to stick to the tub instead of the sub. I started to leave the bag together (sometimes this meant using a larger bag) which was helpful because as the sub shrunk, the two sides of the bag came apart, one side usually stuck to the walls of the tub, but the other would faithfully move with the sub.
No matter what I have found that some genetics are just so determined to pin from the sides that when using ms a few side pins are to be expected. But its nothing compared to the mass that will grow with no liner at all.

I've seen a whole lot of different genetics...and none have ever just "wanted" to side pin when I've used a liner
The liner is coming off of the substrate, either at the surface or lower on the side where you can't see it. The pockets formed are perfect for pins. I would imagine your liner is not very even when you spawn.
Use a thick liner. I use a 5mil plastic sheet that I cut into 26"x30" sheets. When I spawn, I place the liner in the tub and use the duct taped holes to hold the plastic in place. After spawning, I straighten the sides out and trim them.
Also, dial in your tubs better. Pinning will happen near the walls when you have poor fruiting conditions.
If you have some pictures, it'd be a lot easier to tell you what the deal is.

Well I have one culture that no matter what always ends up with a side pin or two. I use the same method for all my tubs/trays and no issues with the other monocultures. It is an extremely determined fruiter. Maybe I have only been inconsistent when spawning that one, but I have seen a couple randoms occasionally pop up with ms. Maybe I just need to use different liners

Can you post a pic or a link to where you get your liner? Or a brand name? I have the bottom holes packed as tight as I can get them, and the top holes so loose its practically falling out...its getting plenty of FAE because the tubs have dry circles around all the holes. Like I said in my OP, nothing has changed except a minor change in temp/humidity in the grow room and Ive been making my sub a little drier.
I just dunked the tubs in question, I'll post pics once they get back to what they normally look like.
