I tried to take pictures, but they're blurry as hell because of the opaqueness of the mini rounds sidewalls, my camera won't focus on the inner dwellings.
No facepalm, that was a wonderful display of the loving encouraging support that is awaiting all shroomery noobs.

That happens to me too, luckily I can manually focus mine though and they turn out a little better.
Support all the way buddy

You inspired me! Here's some pics, I got it to focus!

This one, I tried to dig a "divot" into my new agar plate WHILE having my transfer on my hook... The result was my transfer obliterating across the new surface. So there's over 3 growth sites now lol.

Thanks mang! No yucks, all snow white and no bacteria pools. I'm stoked. I practiced careful movements and was smart in my SAB and I've no contam.

You are right, they are looking great pudgy! It looks as if you have successfully got mushroom mycellium running on those plates, with no contams!

^_^ thanks! No bacteria or mold yet so I'm excited about my third transfer.
I'm curious though, I need to research more about mycelium. A lot of people want something called rhizo, I've got fuzzy lumps. I'm not too sure what I'm working with here.

Unless it just makes you feel safer, do a third transfer, but from what I can see, there is no need, keep posting pics, and we will let you know, they don't always come out rhizo, so, do you know how to do grains yet?

Oh, BTW, most of the time, when people know what they are doing when replying, which Ed does, you can look at who he is replying to, and that tells you who he is talking to, so yeah, he was talking to sporalations, his 1st post, and that's what he has to say, WTF?

I just looked at my 8 noc'd up agar plates and I can see growth on like 2 of them, I think. One is actually appearing to be mycelium and the other looks green, which I'm still excited about because hey, it's growth!
Any objections to be taking these into my SAB so I can open them for better examination?
Edit: I probably shouldn't open the contaminated one. Should I toss it or can I salvage the plate itself?

Did you wrap those plates with something, and stick them in a plastic bag, or are you talking about pasty plates? Either way, I WOULD NOT OPEN THEM, I was just asking, so you could hold them up to light and check them out, also so the green does not spread.
Here is a pic of GT living in perfect harmony with some green mold, I just thought it interesting, that it is running across it, as if it was not even there,
It IS NOT A GOOD IDEA to do this, but I have had plate stacked on top and to the sides, that are clean pours, that have not got it, so I was just seeing what would happen.
This GT mycellium could be saved, by making transfers onto agar, and coming up with a clean transfer, if you were really careful, this could be done in one transfer.
This is the beauty of agar work.

I tried Sockadin's grain tek, 3 containers inoculated with syringe 4 days ago. No sign of growth.
I filled a pastyplate mini round with oats that I cooked up following mudafuka's method and inoculated yesterday with a syringe. No growth though.
I'll inoculate a container tonight with one of my agar plates.
Do I drop it on top or dig a little hole in the grain and bury it in the center?

Pastywhyte said: Yeah I got to that pin a little late but I still had hoped to make it work, usually invitro pins make good clones. I had a pic but I can't find it, might be on my comp at home.
I love how pp5 plates push out pins, look at this cluster

Do you typically just leave the paper towel on the lid like that? I usually pull mine off after everything's mostly dry. If you get good results leaving them on then I'll not bother removing.
