what kind of mycellium are you transferring, it appears as if you are transferring bacteria,or mold of some sort, and not mushroom mycellium.
Just because it is white, does NOT mean it is mushroom mycellium! It will take a while to figure out the good from the bad!

This print has been used a bunch of times..think it's carrying contams..and the myc from it all seems weak. This type of growth did colonize rye, but not very strongly and has been showing lots of metabolites.

hey kmetric... maybe you still can save your print.
why not knock up some grains... ime, cubes myc grow well on grains compared to agar... at the first signs of germination, hastily transfer that to agar to isolate,,, i dunno, it might just work.
or hell!! sterilize those grains in those PP containers! hehe..

Actually one or both of those plates in the pics is from colonized grain kernels that I put onto agar. Anyway..I have some 99.5% colonized v-tek style rye cakes that I'm going to case. Hopefully I get a mushroom or two to pop out that I can clone, or take a new print from.

Was pasty even gone that long. Must be a pretty important member if we start sending out search parties after less than 24 hours with no posts.
